Well it's the day after thanksgiving (for us). People do all their Christmas shopping then trying to get all the deals.

It's not worth it, imo.

I saw on tv this morning two women fighting at a store over an iron! They were both trying to get the last one but one gave up and threw it on that other woman!

the weight it says on the packet hardly ever = the actual weight I noticed that one before

I saw two senior citizens years ago, in Asda, at the 'downpriced meats' section - literally having a tug of war over a pre-packed sirloin steak..... I'm still unsure whether I found it funny or pathetic! Well...it was funny, but pathetic at the same time!!

I expect prices on some stuff to rise by a penny or two, but have noticed during November that they seem to add between 10-20p on a lot of stuff :mad:

I bought three Frijj's for £1.20 the other day. Bargain.

10 cans of coke for £2.50 nothing but a steal deal

I got 15 cans for £4.00 (just over 26p per can) the other day - and like you, that's where those who are switched on - make the savings.

I mentioned Tesco earlier on in the thread being famous for buggering up their deals (and hugely to the customer's benefit)......... now you've mentioned Frijj's...... have a look.

Must have been from a Tesco Express then. Though I didn't use the self service checkout; they were listing it as 3 for the price of 1 on the shelf. Weird.

The article states it apparently affected Tesco Express.... so looks like you got the benefit of their computer glitch..... buy one, get two free - great result for you eh!! :D

another piece of 'useless info'.... Fairy Liquid bottles have changed sizes: they are now smaller than what they used to be, but price has not come down. Apparently the reason being is that the liquid is slightly more concentrated than it was before: and that is the justification for not bringing the price down..... but they dont' actually tell people it's more concentrated - so they will still use it and replenish it at the same rate.

ie: sort of the opposite of a placebo effect - if people don't know it's concentrated - they won't realise they don't have to use as much every time they wash dishes.
