Right, I can understand why people do/take drugs because they get a high/buzz. Fine I can live with that and see why you take the risk but smoking? no buzz, no high just an expensive addiction. I really do not 'get' that.

It's been awhile, old friend.

I've been a smoke free zone for 21 years now (I used to smoke 30 a day). I tried giving up loads of time by cutting down, ciggie substitutes etc, but the only way that worked for me was to go cold turkey. You just need the right motivation - my son (5 at the time) was diagnosed with asthma, that's all I needed to know to quit.
