People like seeing their name at the front of the thread , it gives them some sort of weird ego boost.I really dont care who posts the thread but posting hours and hours in advance is just annoying

That makes no sense. Does some sort of perspex tube materialise out of thin air and encase my keyboard? Of course you can judge people on an internet forum. GenericUsername might be Kirsten Dunst in real life for all I know but I can still judge how he is as a poster.

tomflint 18-01-2012 04:52 PM

You can judge them on spelling, grammar and how much they post but you can't judge people's personality. People could be completely different in real life like for example if someone talks and talks and talks on here and then in real life they are really quiet it doesn't show people's true personalities.

but you have to say, those who moan are more annoying.

Ramsay 18-01-2012 04:56 PM

Not really they have every right to moan..Waking up at 1PM to see LIVE DISCUSSION THREAD 10PM 9/12 , plastered on top of the site wrecks my tits.i know it doesnt do any harm but its annoying and stupid

Niall 18-01-2012 04:56 PM

For those defending the (moronic) idea of creating a discussion thread in the middle of the day when it isn't on until nine at night, can please explain your logic.

Because IMO, there is absolutely no point to it. It's just people getting all antsy about making the thread and trying to start it first.

It's quite ridiculous.

This! It's just people thinking "herp derp derp must make thread before everyone else". It's retarded.

tomflint 18-01-2012 04:58 PM

I'm sure that's so annoying seeing it on a BIGBROTHER internet forum.
lmao at some people on this forum.

theres not even that many threads in this subforum. at least its variety.

okay i understand why some people can get annoyed, but they should just move on. to poke fun and insult another person's life saying its sad because of something so minor crosses the line really.

No it's not about competition (well for me anyway) but if there isn't one there you might as well make one so everyone knows it's there or what time its on and stuff. Honestly if that annoys people, they obviously have easy life's with no worry's

Ramsay 18-01-2012 05:03 PM

Im not poking fun or insulting anyone im just saying they should wait till the evening at least to make the thread

Yes that's basically what I already said. Only with more words and less Kirsten Dunst.

I think it's a pretty good rough guide though. I'm more than comftorble with judging some people on here as being mere virus with shoes.

no no i wasn't aiming that at you in the slightest. its aimed at those who do that, sorry i wasnt being clear

tomflint 18-01-2012 05:05 PM

I think people should not care what some cyber person thinks about them as well. They obviously have no life if it means they result to moaning about what time a discussion thread is posted.

this.

MTVN 18-01-2012 05:06 PM

I think a problem is that they are threads supposed to be used for discussing the actual episode, and so when they're made hours in advance people don't post much in them and so they fall down the board and are forgotten about, so when it gets nearer to the episode other people might not realise and go and make one as well which just causes problems

It's not as big a problem during CBB maybe because it isn't as busy but there's a lot more discussion during normal BB and a discussion thread made early could find it's way back on page 2 or 3 by the time the episode is actually on

Fair enough if you don't make them, but the problem is that it just looks silly. Most people should know when the show is on anyhow, given it being a nightly thing the mostly keeps to the same times.

I just agree with Karl. Wait until the evening. 1pm or thereabouts is just silly.

This.

And then the person who started the discussion thread at 7am then moans on at the person who made one at 7pm saying 'THERES ALREADY A THREAD ON THIS YOU KNOW!!!!!!!11111!!!' when the second person shouldnt really have to look through a days worth of threads just to see if someone made one at a ridiculous time

tomflint 18-01-2012 05:18 PM

Personally I think this forum is very quiet nowadays so you wouldn't have to go through pages of threads.
