The crust or the end slice, suppose the end slice makes the most sense

Niamh. 02-02-2012 04:03 PM

Livia 02-02-2012 05:36 PM

I've never heard it called anything other than the nobby, although I've not spent much time pondering it. Is it a London thing, I wonder?

I'm not sure it is.. I live in London and most people seem to say end slice.

But then one of my friends says "nobby" and suggested it was an Irish thing, yet I'm part Irish and no-one in my family who's actually from Ireland has ever said that.

I think it's a Scottish thing but it's the correct way.

Suze 02-02-2012 06:47 PM

CharlieO 02-02-2012 06:56 PM

The crust is how it is defined in the oxford English dictionary. Therefore the Crust is the correct way of saying it.
