Depends on whether they can see pure black or light makes it go a little red like when eyes are closed.

But if it is pure black no they can't.

I like the taste of sesame seeds. I wouldn't eat them on their own, though.

Mrluvaluva 05-04-2012 02:54 AM

Does space carry on for eternity, and how can eternity never end?

This prob seems like a stupid question, but why did they put down the horses that broke their legs at the grand national

Ik it means that their racing career was over, but couldn't it have gone to some old horse home, or rescue sanctuary or something

Vicky. 18-04-2012 06:35 PM

I remember asking someone about this before. I may be wrong but I think it's because the broken leg can take weeks to heal and the horse cannot stand up without making it worse. However, if a horse doesn't stand up for a long period of time, it gets distressed so it's far more humane to kill it to stop it suffering.

I don't think horses legs heal the same as ours..and it depends on the severity of the break..because of the jumps and the speed they are going I would imagine the breaks must be pretty bad

Something about them never being able to recover from them/it hurts them alot and it's very hard to treat a horse because of the size/you can't keep them still, better to put them out of their misery straight away
