Make a poll on TiBB:
Females on TiBB - who has participated in anal sex?

Lets be honest we know how the voting sways already.

mayvbe you should add another section to that poll, how many females that have done anal sex LIKED it. how many thought it was pleasurable to them, and how many only did it cause a guy pressured them into it?

that would be a more relevant poll.

To be honest, although there are plenty of disadvantages, I don't actually think teenagers watching pornography is that bad. All of us know that it's only natural for teenagers to feel that way, but many would obviously argue that teenagers shouldn't watch it. I do agree in a way, but they're teenagers. I think it's rather silly that parents seem so adamant on making sure they see their teenager's every moment, when that's a total invasion of privacy. You can't punish them for hormones. I'll be 19 next year and I pretty much had to watch porn until I got a girlfriend.

I've got my opinion Jords and I don't appreciate being insulted, and being verbally abused over and over again by lostalex: perhaps you may forgive me for being 'a bit patronising' given his comments (some of which you may or may not have seen).

Perhaps you might want to consider stickng to the topic. Or is that not going to be addressed by a moderator?

Guess not.

I dont think thats really relevant, if they enjoyed it or not its something they tried and your just going into personal perference  And if they did it to some degree they must have wanted to try it.
Porn just makes it look like everybody tries it and its a reg thing... but on the other hand porn also makes it look like men instigate it when there will be women who do like it up the ass and ask for it...

LOL cant believe Im talking about this.

Not all women are delicate little flowers you know. Some can be quite devilish in the bedroom

Okay. I'll just sit here and put up with all the abuse from lostalex.

Don't botehr telling me I should report it, because when I do, I get infracted or banned for reporting.

That's your opinion, I'm afraid. Personally, I know plenty of females who have done anal sex and not liked but loved it. Fair enough, your experience seems to tell you that the majority of females are pressured by guys to have anal sex, which is fine, but what about my knowledge of other people's experiences? Or are you just going to push that aside because you think your experience speaks for all? Unless you can prove your argument with valid statistics, you can't particularly speak for anyone, can you?

That has been dealt with.

Wow...walked in on a hornets nest...Its like i've never been away haha. Porn is too easily accessible, and kids are becoming sexualised much younger in the UK due to media pressure Imo.

Bang on the nose. This is precisely why it's an important issue and one that needs to be addressed/resolved. How - that is another matter entirely.

How is teenagers/children watching porn a problem?

Marc 22-04-2012 10:48 AM

Porn is evil

Considering the amount of implied or softcore sex that's featured massively in music videos, soap operas, films, other TV dramas and gossip columns, I don't see the point in blaming pornography for children being subject to sex early.

Ultimately the responsibility is down to the parent. You can either let it be and let them discover how wonderfully warped adulthood is for themselves, or impose all sorts of filters and restrictions and they'll find it at a friend's house. It's a ritual of puberty and adolescence, I don't think many 6 year olds are Googling penises. And whilst I personally find it a bit disturbing for anyone under 13 to find it (and that in itself is an interesting point given the age of consent, because it's pretty much commonplace for people to lose their virginity before 16 nowadays), I believe others don't. I don't judge them for it, because ultimately it's just a penis. Only when grooming, paedophilia and abuse come into play should it be a problem.

It is a huge problem, as adults I feel there is a moral obligation to protect children from porn.
Im not talking greasy, hormonal adolescents here...I mean younger children.

You won't understand the comparison since you haven't lived in an age without internet - but young kids - yes, young kids before the internet was as commonly used as phone - kids used to look up 'naughty words' in the dictionary, and giggle about them. they'd find their parents stash of porn mags and scour through them - now they just need to type the words on google: for all sorts of graphical images to come up.

That's the angle I am coming from.

That appears to be the part that is going adrift. That's where it starts, and then it becomes the norm - as so they progress - and by the time they do get into naturally hormonal teens/adolescents: they are looking and searching for more extreme things which are outwith the realms of what used to be regarded as 'taboo'.

I know, I just don't see any way around it other than a sudden upheaval of the internet and widespread censorship. Which wouldn't happen because there'd be uproar from the adults  So the only real middle-ground is for parents to be more careful with what their children are searching: using Safesearch, supervising them...

And maybe more of an effort in sex education. My first lessons weren't until I was about 11, which seems quite old really. A lot of the playground mentality, giggling at boobs or whatever , could be done away with by approaching it scientifically.

(I'm clutching at straws because I don't think there is a solution to the problem :p)

At this stage of the game: I don't see there being a solution to the problem either - it's out there now, the 'world' can't take the internet back so to speak and parents see laptops/iphones/ipads as something kids should have - which all have great benefits and advantages.

Like the kids who nicked the Dad's porn mags, like the kids who bunked off and everyone went round to someone's house in the afternoon coz 'John' had a porno and everyone wanted to watch it and see what it was all about: the same happens now: but only on a far more widely, far more unrestricted basis.
