I love the Beatles one  They are all great, I wish I was talented in this way. It'll be tough to vote just from the standard so far.

Only just seen this - yay! What a great excuse to spend another night not revising :D ;)

Wow, that's brilliant Nicky! I wish I'd done mine without text now.

Aw thanks babe!
I'd have put text on it if it wasn't for the image at the bottom! I like having a little bit, I picked that image for that reason :D I like yours how it is, love the transparent text :) |

:amazed: even more awesome ones
I must learn to do this, it's fascinating. Claudia, what was the tutorial you used. It will probably take me the best part of six months to master it, but I'll try :D |

And it looks a bit overwhelming at first, but it's basically just like paint with a lot more options. There are loads of tutorials kindly put on youtube, for whatever technique you want to try. Blending is a good one (there are some amazing examples of it in this thread), it just takes time, and it makes different images look like they belong to the one image (if that makes sense). Having your layers window open makes things easier. In Gimp2, goto Windows, then Dockable Dialogs, then Layers. Also under Windows in Gimp2 is New Toolbox, that will open the window with more of the stuff you'll be familiar with from the likes of the Paint program. Here's a basic blend on youtube Spoiler: |
