The thing with Caroline is that she spits so much venom about others that she's bound to say something offensive at some point.

If she carries on making these 'unfortunate' remarks then you really have to question her mindset.

Slevin 08-07-2012 10:38 AM

yea cause Charlie Sheen isnt the only one that gets so many chances :spin:

Caroline is racist. She is racist towards Adam. "Gorilla" "intelligence" "his people" and likening Adam to MLK with disdain is racist.
She is intelligent enough to be subtle...... but not subtle enough. She knows that this subtlety provides her with a defence and those that will through their own uncomfortable feelings and denial defend her
She continues to goad BB with her conceit just as she goads HMs and viewers alike.
She will continue with her lack of eye contact and denial, provoking you to prove it ever time.
REMOVE HER FROM THE HOUSE BB you are condoning her racism as do those who deny it.

The racism is in the minds of Caroline's accusers.

MeMyselfAndI 08-07-2012 10:54 AM

Shes hilarious, but sometimes goes OTT

I concur. I hate when someone is told they're a bit racist and their response is my partner is black or I have loads of black friends.

Absolutely. :xyxwave:
Their honest accepting well functioning logical and valid minds. :D:

i dont think shes racist but who knows, if she is intelligent the gorilla comment is pretty damning, i hedge on the 'she just hates him and sometimes has poor choice of words' side. ps are we in an upside down world where adam is now a bully for finally paying arron back for all the crap he put the girls thru? mr cagefighter has been pulling pranks on the entire house since he got in there, lets not forget he and conor were laughing at making deana cry the night before. if we put the bully tag on adam the word has lost its meaning

'bordering on the edge' pretty much sums it up for me

sedecrem 08-07-2012 11:14 PM

i could tell she was a malicious person from the beginning when everyone else was claiming she was so intelligent all I saw was a calculating, vindictive, manipulating, horrible and spiteful human being. Although she is all of the above i do believe her comments maybe slightly ignorant as opposed to racist but i think if she says anything else in reference to his skin she should definitely be removed!

InOne 08-07-2012 11:47 PM

I don't think she's racist. Just a bit silly with what she says.

No. Actually no. That is not going to be the 'therefore' in any of this. She may be left in the house and it will NOT mean BB or anyone else is 'condoning' it.

Likewise, nobody will be 'condoning' temper tantrums from Scott or Conor by 'allowing them to stay'.

You are not 'condoning' by letting idiots say stupid things. You might be said to condone it IF you said nothing, rewarded it or agreed,
however,
It is clear BB does 'allow' people to say stupid things, rude things, ignorant things AND also allows them to face all the consequences, shame and disrepute they bring upon themselves.
Good!

Carolines NOT a racist, every year The Race card comes out of the woodwork.

All Caroline can be accused of is immaturity and perhaps a lack of thought, but not racism no way!

And by the way I am not a fan of Caroline infact I want her evicted as she is very irritating but it gets on my nerves when the race card comes out!

I doubt she is consciously racist, as she is such a gameplayer most of the time that would be a stupid strategic error (There is an extensive briefing given to prospective HMs, leaving no doubt that intentional racism is an automatic disqualification). However, there is a distict undertone to some of what she says, and she does come from that background where patronising attitudes to other races and classes has been de rigeur until recent times. At least her presence goes to demonstrate what a sad anachronism it is that the upper class continues to reign ... though I'm certainly not won to the idea that is enough reason for her to stay.

Just re-watched the scene in which Shievonne gets her birthday message from her nieces, in which the whole house (including Conor, whom I am normally quick to dismiss as an emotionally-crippled ape) is looking genuinely moved and uplifted by the occasion except for Caroline, who appears bemused, indifferent, and faintly contemptuous. I sometimes wonder if she just had an empathy-bypass operation early in life ...

Great post Anthony, I think all your points are pretty valid.

Thank you. :) I must give credit for some of them to my best friend, though, who has watched the show for longer than I have and is of the opinion that Caroline is a strong and cynical player most of the time. If she is that serious about the game, it is unlikely she would intentionally dice with the prospect of ejection (and since the "n" word incident, they know what to expect).
