Seriously people get offended to being asked to justify liking their favourite?! You have the choice to ignore it.. But most people would love to give reasons for liking their favourite.. It's kind of the point of the programme!

I don't have a problem telling people why I like Conor, but it does get tiresome when it never really gets taken on board or people can't accept it, and you just get shouted down or accused of being a fan just because of his looks/because he's Irish/because you're a racist/etc.

he's one of the main reasons i still bother tuning in

MTVN - You are one of the few people who have articulated why you like him and I respect your reasons and your opinion.
I really really WANTED to like him as I’m from N. Ireland too and I was excited that someone from our country was going to be on BB. But since his awful rant about Deana I just can’t like him – or anyone else who would say what he said – and the way he said it. I’m not a fan of Deana’s in particular (Scott is my fav) so it’s not about being a rabid Deana fan. What made it worse was that has never owned up to her and apologized personally and he kept the whole hate thing going with her even when she tried to sort things out with him. He knew what he said about her, and that she didn’t know, yet he still treated her badly. If he was truly sorry he would at least have tried to make amends by being civil and friendly toward her. That’s why I can’t forget what he did even though it was a while ago.
Apart from all that, I find him uncouth and quite thick. He seems to revel in the discomfort of others and his main reaction to any problem is ‘I don’t give a ****’. I don’t recall a single truly entertaining Conor moment – unless it laughing his ass off at someone else’s expense. And tonight he had the cheek to criticize Luke A to Becky for what he said after he said much worse about Deana! He has no sensitivity or moral compass as far as I can see.
I know you were a big Jay fan last year, as was I. Some people have compared Jay with Conor –but there is no comparison. Jay was far from perfect – but he had a good warm heart and a basic honesty about him. I see no redeeming features in Conor.
Those are my reasons for DISLIKING him and I just wanted to explain why in some detail.

That's fair enough, I'm not going to justify that rant or how he's been with Deana in general (even though I don't like her either and think there's valid reasons not to) and I can understand why people dislike him, although I think he does realise he's been a bit of a bit of a dick at times in there, I remember Caroline saying after her warning for bullying she mentioned that her and Conor had both agreed they've been more bitchy and stuff than they would be on the outside world.

I've seen the Jay comparison too, I actually think they are quite similar in terms of their humour and how they're both quite laid back and like to take the piss a bit, but I agree Jay was more open and honest. In some ways how Conor deals with his dislike of Deana reminds me more of Aaron, how he always just tried to keep away from Jay and ignored him when he tried to make amends although I doubt that comparison would go down well here
