PSG are a very good side, Matt
Ibra, Thiago Silva, Lavezzi etc. + they have an easy ass group. Defo quarter finals. |
True, I think it'll be another couple of years until they're right up there really challenging for it though
|
Chelsea has some very nice football players... I can fully get behind them.

Top man Jason

Expert analysis from arguably the most charming man on the planet, Jayson Gayson.
Jayson - Real Madrid & Dinamo Zagreb I like my chances on this one. Best goalie in the world in Casillas, best defender in the world in Sergio Ramos, the might of Alonso, Modric and Ozil, and then CR7 and Benzema up there scoring all the goals. Would be surprised with anything lower than the semis. Dinamo Zagreb could pull of a shocking upset, but it probably wont happen. MTVN - Shakhtar Donetsk & PSG It's a rare situation here, as the secondary side are Matt's best hope of the title. Shakhtar are not looking to get very far at all. PSG are a quality side, with some big name signings from Serie A this season. They may not be well rounded enough to be true contenders, but if you don't buy a ticket, you'll never win the raffle. Marc - AC Milan & Celtic AC Milan have lost a lot of big players this season, with Ibra, Thiago Silva, Cassano and others all parting with the club due to financial debts. They could get to the quarters, but it will depend on the draw. Celtic are the only Scottish club in the tournament, and they will have fun with it, but they haven't got a hope. Locke - Bayern Munich & Cluj Locke will be happy with this, as he's got last year's runners up. Many are touting them to be this year's favourites. Cluj are useless. Black Dagger - Chelsea & Nordsjaelland Black Dagger may not know much about the sport, but he knows that Chelsea is a top quality draw. Last year's winners will be looking to be the first team to ever retain the Champions League title this season, although many believe they wont do it. Nordsjaelland... erm... MeMyselfandI - Valencia & Galatasaray Not the best of draws for MMI. Valencia lost a big player to Swansea today, which hurt their already slim chances. I wouldn't be surprised if Galatasaray do well at home, but the away fixtures will be their downfall. Novo - Porto & Borussia Dortmund Two solid teams, and Porto are in the easiest group. They kept Joao Moutinho today which is a bonus, and with Hulk on the right wing they could reclaim the trophy they won under Jose Mourinho many years ago. Dortmund are a good draw, but they are in the toughest group, and will find it tough to progress into the knockout rounds. Smithy - Benfica & LOSC Lille Benfica lost a great player to Man City today, and do not have much of a prayer of winning. Lille are without Hazard following his sale to Chelsea, and have not got a chance of winning either. *Kate* - Arsenal & BATE Borisov Kate has been given the honour of having Arsenal. The Gunners have got Giroud and Podolski, who will be battering defences all season long, and Santi Cazorla to supply them. Definite winners imo. Kate also has BATE (rhymes lool), who are a pile of wank on the pitch, but sure are fierce. Brother Leon - Dynamo Kyiv & Olympiacos A poor draw for BL, with Olympiacos almost certainly not standing a chance against the mighty Arsenal, and Dynamo Kyiv being ****. Shaun - Man City & Anderlecht Shaun will be happy with City. The richest team in the world may have a very tough group, but they have a great squad. Although inexperienced in Europe, they are likely candidates for European glory this season. Anderlecht are from Belgium I think... Nathan - Barcelona & Montpellier Possibly the best draw, Barca have got Messi, Villa, Sanchez, Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Alba, Pique, Puyol, Dani Alves and Valdes. And that's just the starting XI. Firm favourites to win. Montpellier lost their star striker Olivier Giroud to the Gunners in the transfer window and will struggle without him. They should, however, be capable of 2nd place in their group, but success afterwards is unlikely. SocietyIsRuined - Zenit & Spartak Moscow SIR has drawn two Russian sides, both capable of long runs. Zenit won the UEFA Cup a few years ago, and will be hungry this season. Their £40m bid for Hulk shows their ambition this season, and they have a squad that could get them to the quarters. Spartak Moscow have Welliton and Aidem McGeady, who are both very good. Possible group runners up. Gillian-73 - Man Utd & Malaga Man Utd are no strangers to the Champions League, and despite a poor run last season, will be strong candidates this year. Semi-finals at least. chuff me dizzy - Schalke 04 & Juventus Schalke are not looking too juicy, but Juventus are a great draw. They went undefeated in last season's Serie A campaign, and will be Italy's best hope of Champions League victory this season. The Mockinator - Braga & Ajax Two piss poor sides who have no chance. Braga are Braga, and Ajax are the underdogs in a very tough group. |
Hope you all appreciate Jayson Gayson's analysis, what with his busy schedule and all :idc:
