Just to clear something up - Julie's not an actress, she's someone who struck lucky when she was cast in a part and has milked it for decades. She's failed at almost every other acting project she's taken on outside of The Street. She stuck at Calendar Girls for a few weeks before jacking it in and couldn't be arsed to put in the work in her bid to return to The Street.

Spot on,she got lucky in one show years ago, but been on dole for over 17 yrs now,did she go or was she pushed from Calendar Girls????

I have a sneaky feeling Coleen knows the walls are closing in around her, even if she survives eviction this time she will be up again and probably out. I think desperate times calls for desperate measures and maybe just maybe Coleen will finally realise she needs to stand up to Julie and confront her.

Now we know this could polarise the whole house and bring out all the simmering greivances. But it would be great to watch especially if nearly all the HM rounded on Julie, I think it would require an act of bravery to do this by Coleen but lets face it what has she got to lose. she's been very quiet the whole show, not really challenging anyone face to face.

Worst case she says nothing and gets quietly evicted or she stands up and confronts the hag and who knows it could turn the whole show around and give Coleen a lot more airtime and the final week would be fun to watch....!!!

Coleen has bitched just has much as Julie, Julie knew Coleen was pretending to like her & when Harvey pointed it out to them in the Gods & Mortal task realised Coleen stirred with others has well.
Julie may not be to everybody's taste fair enough but Coleen is no angel.

Definitely, Coleen is getting at Julie but is reeling because she knows she was seen o the screen by those who were Gods.
She hated the comment ''pot stirrer'' being made to her.

A very appropriate term to use for her though.
Also as you say the dramatics everytime she is u for eviction, she cares little for others she nominates for it though.

She has from the first days looked the most miserable in the house, time she went home to an equally miserable Sister Linda.

coleen out, julie ftw

Julie is much more entertaining than Coleen. If anyone in there is being false, it is Coleen. I agree, would rather Coleen went today, but doubt she will. I don't think Julie will win anyway so I am fine with her going next Wednesday or in the final. Julie has everyone talking about her, good or bad :D so she is one of the more prominent housemates for sure. Thank goodness BB got it right with her as a housemate at least.

Yes, and we have to remember on such limited cut edits, we don't see the half of it, so for Coleen to get so many noms by those who did/do, then she could well be stirring it, she has contradicted herself a few times re Julie depending on audience reactions to herself, and maybe a few will remember also that Coleen said the other day she prefers face to face noms, yet look at her face when she got what she wanted ... face to face noms :D Out of all those housemates, Coleen is the main one that I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw her, she is not even very entertaining. No wonder she was worried and saying to some of the others she didn't think it fair that they were being watched by the Gods in that task, maybe it wasn't but what was Coleen so worried about, more so than the other housemates if she hadn't been stirring then.

coleen out, julie ftw

Julie is a Judas. She would hug and tell you she loves you then back stab you
How long has she been out of the entertainment industry?( One role only) Julie
hasn't worked for years

I heard a rumour that Julie was chucked out of The street because she made increasingly ridiculous demands, like insisting that her entourage had VIP dressing rooms.

help colleen by tossing her out

queen julie to win

joeysteele 31-08-2012 12:21 PM

I hope I never see or hear of Linda Nolan again on TV,or for that matter Coleen also Julie hasn't been unemployed for 17 years, in 1999 she was again Bet Lynch in Corrie, she was also back again for storylines in 2002 and 2003.
Her character has never been killed off in Corrie, or even considered to be to all knowledge, and I can see a return of sorts for her if she wants it, after CBB should she win or come 2nd definitely.

Julie Goodyear has boldly ruled out a
return to her Coronation Street role
as Bet Lynch.
Goodyear, who is currently in the
Celebrity Big Brother house
, has long been linked with a
comeback.
Speaking to the latest OK! magazine,
the actress stated: "Would I go back?
No."
© Channel 5
© ITV
The 70-year-old explained that the
soap, which films nearly two hours of
material every week, would be too
physically gruelling.
"The schedule now is way above and
beyond," Goodyear hypothesised.
"When I began it was two episodes a
week. It's become more and more."
Goodyear further claimed that, while
she respects the current cast's level of
commitment, her performance would
suffer with such high-turnaround
scenes.
"I've tremendous admiration for them
being able to do it, but I'm a
perfectionist in my work," she added.
"I need rehearsals, tech-runs, make-
up and costume."
The Weatherfield legend, who was last
seen on the cobbles in 2002, was
previously rumoured to be making a
guest appearance for the funeral of
Betty Williams last year

sam - pot plant or danica - train wreck

no contest who goes

Queen Julie to win

joeysteele 31-08-2012 12:32 PM

A lot of actresses and actors are known for making demands for special attention to producers, Joan Collins is one, funny then how if that is the case, they never said enough is enough and did a dramatic storyline to end once and for all Bet Lynch's connection to Corrie.

Never as I have said many times has her has her character been killed off, she may make demands for priviliges, she may or may not be wrong to do so when working,it has not though resulted in no doors being left open for her to work on Corrie again.

An actor/actress likes good storylines, if they don't happen often they demand better ones or choose to move on.
Julie Goodyear is no worse than others who make demands on producers.

I do not believe Coleen is jealous in anyway shape or form it is a terrible enviroment to be in when you know someone doesn't like you. You can't escape it..Coleen is down to earth in a wonderful way I would love her to win

As for Julie being a 'national treasure' as an actress maybe but as a person Julie is vile! And please do not get me started on the chewing gum with mouth wide open bleah...

/\ This 100%.

Coleen's face in last night show when she saw the old hag approaching in the mirror for a phoney hug was priceless.

Vote to save Coleen and it's a win win! Sam will go and Danica will go, leaving Julie without a female friend in the house. She'll have to go back to befriending Harvey's peen :joker:

This is a very valid point completely, thank you for finding it Gillian-73. quite a few of the older characters who left Corrie have said the schedule is now too punishing, Bill Tarmey and of course Liz Dawn for her health but when interviewed a lot of them say it is a gruelling set of schedules now.

The younger cast have known no different and so it's fine for them but I read this about Julie and I can take the point for a 70 year old who hasn't done these lengthy and punishing schedules before in the past, it is possibly too much to consider taking on now.
I still can see a chance of an even short storyline were she to win CBB though as to Corrie trying to persuade her.

They also said, as people hoped for Hilda Ogden to reurn for Betty's funeral too, that they didn't want older big characters back to possibly detract from the occasion of Betty's funeral so they didn't allow any of them back except for Betty's son Gordon obviously.

All I saw was Coleen,(despite after all she had said as to Julie just before), swing round and willingly gave a good hug back to her.
Which one was the real phoney?
It is more likely Coleen that will be left with no female friend in the house.Maybe even any real friend come to that.
