Nina, how can not speaking to someone you don't like, and who doesn't like you much either be nasty?
Sometimes you come across emotional vampires whose mission seems to be to make themselves popular by making others unpopular.
Don't let her ruin your relationships at work, or make you look unprofessional. :)

I just ****ing detest people like this.

and I know what you mean Novo.

yeah

just act normally around her

GypsyGoth 26-11-2012 06:36 PM

Wow she does sound like a right head****.

It's good you see through her tactic of playing the victim, and as Kizzy suggests, it's probably best not to engage her in conversations other than small talk.

she sees it as nasty because she 'has done nothing wrong'

Update -

I told my manager and she was furious that all the girls were talking about it. She said that they arent supposed to talk about all that kind of stuff outside of work and that they've been told before. So the girls got told off, which I didn't want to happen. I don't know what is going to happen to the girl who 'outed me' but hopefully she is stuck by lightning or something.

One of the girls has deleted me off of facebook, which sucks because she was one of my favourite people to work with.

I'm just devastated tbh. When I told my manager, I thought I would be okay, but then I got really upset.

I pretty much just got confidence at work. Now it's completely shattered.

well at lest it is sorted and the rest just show them that they they have no power over you

Tom4784 27-11-2012 09:52 PM

They all sound like *****, you're better off without them.

Don't let them get to you, spite the ****ers by killing them all with kindness. They want to make you feel like crap so shove the fact that you're fine and dandy in their ***** faces. They are less than nothing and you shouldn't let them get you down.

Ninastar 27-11-2012 10:02 PM

thing is, they weren't being nasty though. They were just talking about it generally.

I do get on with them, I'm just sad that they had to get told off for it

GypsyGoth 27-11-2012 10:09 PM

I really hope your worklife improves from now on :hug

Ninastar 27-11-2012 10:10 PM

i hope it does. i dont want to go back

Caitlin, you know the story I PMed you about that person who did something similar to me? He did the EXACT same thing, he played the victim, he said "well it's not my fault you're annoyed at me, I'm really upset that you won't forgive me even though I've done nothing to you."

How do you even respond to someone like that?

The answer is, you don't. You ignore them and you just act like your pleasant old self and just wait for them to **** up with someone else, and then someone else, until eventually everyone sees them as a joke.

I think you should probably go to the rest of the girls at work and tell them you're sorry that they got shouted at, you only wanted your boss to have a go at the girl who's done this to you and you tried to make it clear that you weren't upset by them and that you're very sorry they got told off. The worst thing you can do is not talk to them about it, because it gives her the upper hand to be like "oh we all got shouted at, let's hate Caitlin together" - if you make it clear to them what you wanted to happen, they'll appreciate the gesture, and maybe try to remind them of the stuff she's done in the past that they've told you about so that they realise that it's just the same girl getting up to her usual bull****.

Ninastar 27-11-2012 11:04 PM

Yeah I think you're right. I'm going to say something to everyone tomorrow.

Thank you so much greg

Ninastar 27-11-2012 11:08 PM

What really pissed me off was that she was like 'have you got a problem with me?' then she said that she did nothing wrong and went home and cried because she hates herself and thinks we are all talking about her

which is just bull****. She's just one of those girls who loves to feel sorry for themselves. She even tried to blame her manager. I haven't told mine this, but if it gets worse, I have the texts to prove it.

Glenn. 27-11-2012 11:08 PM

I'd cut the ****ing slag. Wrap a chair around her head Cailtin.

Z 27-11-2012 11:10 PM

It might seem daunting but it's a much better alternative than saying nothing, letting them all resent you and, worst of all, letting her use that against you! Make a point of doing it ASAP tomorrow, it'll make you feel better too  wish I could give you a hug, or come in and do it for you! And punch that girl in the face! xxx

Ninastar 27-11-2012 11:11 PM

haha thank you so much. Honestly that is so helpful. I'm in first thing tomorrow which is a relief.

Hopefully it's at an end now though.

Also none of it would have happened if she didn't start to talk about you. She has no one truly to blame other than herself.

Glenn. 27-11-2012 11:17 PM

She will be the one without any kind of friends. People like that never do.

Yeah exactly. I don't how she can blame anyone else when she's the only one I had told.

Yeah true. Many people can't deal with her at work, but they will talk to her and be nice to her
