I really do not get your point. So many people have "sob stories". They do not influence everyone and people can actually be objective and
clear in their choices. Not everyone is so gullible or lets their judgement be clouded by such things.

The week where James had a 'panick attack' Was even dragged out for TWO weeks

When the judges also add on top "you've come along way" that's gonna get a certain demographic into buckets of tears and vote for him, that is just a fact.

And I commented that it was ridiculous at the time, so what's your point?

My point is Jahmene isn't the only one who has regular 'sob stories' And Nicole has cried once when Jahmene performed and tbh it was amazing.

Mystic Mock 08-12-2012 10:21 PM

Yeah Nicole cried after another Jahmene sob story because to quote Nicole "it meant so much to him".

Jamie585 08-12-2012 10:22 PM

.

Well it certainly doesn't for me, and I don't see it really. It will for certain people, but not a majority. As I say, some people are gullible, others aren't. I think the voting public would surprise you. A lot are actually quite focused.

I'm not saying every Jahmene fan is like that, but I do think the majority of them are as I noticed such a massive surge in his popularity after his first sob story, and his carried it on ever since.

Well I have always liked Jahmene from the start. James too. For me the sob stories don't come into it and I don't suppose I am alone. I don't understand why people have to start slagging others off, when they should get through on their own merit. Just seems like sour grapes to me.

Mystic Mock 08-12-2012 10:40 PM

I didn't complain about Jahmene going through the first week, even though he did butcher Imagine imo, but every week since his used sob stories over and over again because he knows that if it was just based on his performances every week he would not be anywhere near the final right now, let alone standing a chance of winning.

As I keep saying. Not everyone is a sucker for a sob story. I think he has performed well over the series and I have based my judgement on that. You were not so impressed with his performances. So be it. Everybody has differing opinions. We cannot all talk for others though as we don't know.

SO HAPPY. Never reacted as well as I did tonight to any X Factor result before.

I literally screamed 'YES!!!!!!!!!!', started banging my hands on the table in front of me while my family were pretty much doing the same thing. A great and unexpected result. Was just waiting for the dreaded 'CHRISTOPHER!' and it never came.

Goodbye Baloney :xyxwave:

Saying that Jahmene uses sob stories week after week is an outright lie.

You need to stop watching the same few episodes on repeat...

FYI Jahmene's story isn't a sob story, it's his life story - and it takes a chilling cold heartedness to mock and belittle someone who has gone through what he has and still maintain dignity, strong religious beliefs and a determination to help others to not suffer the same fate. Jahmene may be small in stature with a shy persona - but he's a MAN - a real man. Despite his horrible history of abuse and fear, he has triumphed over adversity and is now in the final of the X Factor. Win or lose, he DID it against all odds. What a man!!!

Feel a bit sorry for Chris actually, people took their hate to stupid levels.

Agreed, you would have thought that he was doing a Katie Waissel or Frankie Cocozza and actually taking out brilliant acts, even most of the ones I liked this year wouldn't have been on my radar in any other series of X Factor.

Maia 09-12-2012 09:44 AM

Poor Maloney he did a good job picking himself up every week after all the cruel unnecessary hatred he had thrown at him, and he always managed it with a smile on his face, oh well at least he beat the terrible boybands :pipe:

Same usual bull**** we have every series of reality shows with the Antons and Conors, they never make the final hurdle and people still praise them as if they're mother theresa's disciples... I'm glad justice has been made, as it always does.
