People have high expectations. I for one actually love this House. It feels quite fresh and actually feels like a CBB House with the simple Garden ect.

I dont have high expectations i just think they could atleast move the seating area or the sofas about to make it look different.

Honestly ive never even been in that house but i know where everything is now with my eyes closed.

Bus stop posters lol!!!!

Lol?

Even if they're just doing bus stop posters, at least C5 is still taking out paid advertisements the show, which is more than C4 did. And i'd rather they did that than change the house layout every year.

Kitchen looks incredible. I love the yellow.

They can afford to do both how can you even compare design costs to posters on bus stops.

Channel 4 did advertise BB with posters for most series especially BB11 but didnt need to as much because it was a sure thing they would get viewers. Channel 5 NEED to advertise because the viewing figures are an all time low.

Jamie585 27-12-2012 07:41 PM

Look how they've downgraded!!

Which is why they're better spending money on adverts than house layouts.

And obviously it's not just adverts they'd be spending saved cash on - the celebrity fees are far higher on C5 too, for instance.

So wheres the big advertising campaign for this series?

Its been non existent compared to every other series.

I love the house, it's a shame about that stone wallpaper though. I hope that they do a house tour on launch night, but with Emma or Jamie doing it though. Brian doing a house tour would just be cringe-worthy.

We dont need a house tour we know the house layout by now.

Thats what i loved about BB is that we needed a house tour to introduce us to a new series but now its not needed.

Not at all. I just get the overwhelming impression that with certain people, they can't win no matter what they do and they'd criticise no matter how the house looked. I think the new house design is plenty unique, looks fantastic overall and it really doesn't bother me that the bedroom is in the same place as it was last series and I can't really imagine why it would seriously bother anyone else. I didn't expect anything different anyway, especially with just 15 weeks to get it ready.

In what way? Changing the layout would have been a waste of money for three weeks.

Yeah but not when the house is used for 3 series!

Its awful, just a horrible lazy mess.

It's fine. You're just being your usual dramatic self.

They were moaning when that video leaked that nothing had changed, now that we can see that it has they're moaning it's not structurally different.

Now this I agree with. Seriously, it's a two-hour launch show. Can they really not find room for a 5 minute house tour?

It can replace all those bits where Brian treats us like goldfish and recaps everything we've just watched after every single ad break.

I know, but I still think that it is good to see where everything is, they have moved some things around, for example, I don't know where the bathroom is anymore. They could have moved it, they might not have, the house tour would show us.

Plus, it will be the first time most viewers see the new interior. It doesn't matter if the layout is the same or mostly the same. They should show off how stunning it is before they come in and mess it all up.

Also agree that it would be a good role for Emma. Brian could hand over to her from the stage, it needn't be a long segment.

That the main thing that's kept you watching these past 13 years?

DanielLuis 27-12-2012 08:29 PM

Well, its normal that they didnt change the layout. They never do from the summer series to the winter.

What does it really matter? They're doing it in the summer.

I've always liked the thought of Brian and Emma co-hosting on launch nignt.

Why they have him do that I don't know, even if someone has missed the first few housemates go in, they'll see hear who they are and what they're like when they introduce themselves to and interact with the rest going in. They could save 20 minutes just dropping the pre-entrance interview, just ask them one tailored question then let them go in, they never give good answers anyway, they're distracted by the crowd.

I like it, I don't see why they would change the layout for three weeks, save it for the summer

No. Grow up.

BBfanUSA 27-12-2012 08:43 PM

For those saying the Pool has been in the same area since CBB8.

You should see the US version, The important rooms and garden haven't moved one bit since BB6 (2005). There's litteratly one room they moved and that's been the spa/gym room. (It's recently been just a room where the hgs can hang out)

The pool and a separate hot tub have been in the same spot for years as well.

I like it, it's very BBUS esque though (Doesn't mean a bad thing, The American Version likes to have themed houses as well but it keeps the feeling of a house at the same time.)

This isn't my favorite house though. But it's pretty good.
