As for the bit in bold, I'm not sure whether you're taking the piss or not, and whether to be :o or to just laugh. Lacey's said about five words.

Frankie had one good evening (when he went to the Basement) and hasn't said a word since.

If it wasn't the Speidi show it would be the dullest show of all time. No one would want to watch that and to want the show to be like that is detrimental to the brand. It's no surprise that in previous series viewing figures have dropped once the controversial housemates have been evicted, nice, harmonious, happy families don't make good, interesting or entertaining TV - the divisive characters do, it's common sense really. Nobody likes Speidi as people, nobody's denying they're awful people, nobody's saying they'd want to live with them, but without them this series would die on its arse.

Lacey's actually been hilarious with some of the random things she's said. People wrote her off for being the token page 3 model but she's been the most pleasant surprise of the season for me.

But a divisive character doesn't automatically make good television. Speidi haven't done anything themselves that has been entertaining. All they do is complain to each other or complain in the DR. But the thing is that some people ARE trying to make them seem like genuinely good people (which, lol) and some people ARE trying to make them seem the victims in this situation (which again, lol) and that's my biggest gripe with all of this.

Speidi aren't nice people, no one's saying they are. But it's TV, not real life. Without them this'd be the dullest series since CBB6. Dull series aren't good for ratings and poor ratings will result in the axe falling once again, and why any Big Brother fan would want that to happen, I really don't know.

Word.

They selflessly retreated to the basement because they didn't want to leave the viewing public without entertainment in the case that anything happened to them.

They are human beings at the end of the day. What they said in the diary room was likely in the heat of the moment and many of us would have felt the same way had we been in their position. Given the intense atmosphere, I can fully understand why they would have wanted to remove themselves from the situation temporarily. Especially as they were almost eaten alive by a fellow housemate.

as much as speidi can be unlikeable (it's mostly spence, heidi by herself is actually ok) theyve been the main topic for discussion on the boards since they came in the house...even when they werent in the house, and even their greatest haters (chuff) can't seem to stop posting about them....so theyre doing something right.

I'm really intrigued by this fan fiction you're watching where Spencer and Heidi were nearly eaten alive. My god some people here twist things like it's their job.

Yep, great tactic by Speidi tbf.

I don't even think they were that scared or bothered, just a good excuse to drink some booze in the basement.

Its a bloody joke.

People like Spencer who provoke and bully deserve everything they get... He should not be allowed to get away with that sort of behaviour.
BB were morally correct to warn Razor... but how he reacted was human nature... Spencer should have had a warning about his provocative behaviour.

I don't get how a whole production team can be conned by it though!

So Speidi reacting, after watching the hm's slag them off for days, isn't human nature?

The only one showing provocative behaviour was Rylan (swearing like a trooper) and Razor, ranting and then lunging like an aggressive ape because his pea sized brain couldn't cope with a heated debate.

Amy Jade 13-01-2013 12:25 PM

It's sad how people don't see how out of line Razor was, yes Rylan and Spencer did have a heated argument but Razor was disgusting raising his voice and making a bee line for Heidi and Spencer. He's a huge guy and I would be terrified if a 25 stone ape like man started screaming at me and heading in my direction.

He was aggressive and I don't blame anyone for being intimidated by him.

The basement's the main house this series, it's only right to have them in there.
