Very mixed reviews so far. This will be like 808s and WTT and start off generally disliked and then grow into a borderline classic. I remember all the "ergh, go back to old Kanye please" when WTT came out and then they had a GOAT tour off it.

Mixed reaction from fans, but very strong reception from critics. Easily heading for an 80+ on MC with the current reviews.

Hold My Liquor, Blood on the Leaves and Guilt Trip are my favourites so far.

I'm listening to Blood on the Leaves and I'm worried this is gonna be like 808s

Only listened to it once but Blood on the Leaves, I Am a God, Black Skinhead and Hold My Liquor :worship: only one I'm not liking so much is Bound 2

Minimal in production like 808s, but a lot harder and aggressive. Not similar beyond some autotune use.

it does feel like he tries too hard to slip in some catchphrases and soundbites though... especially on I'm In It (the eating asian pussy, all i need is sweet and sour sauce line :joker:)

Currently Kanye's second best reviewed album after MBDTF. 86 on MC, but that'll go up when the site updates.

Would still say it's his weakest solo album.

The whole album is great though. Not one of his best and a bit inconsistent but I really enjoyed every track.

Yeah I really like Bound 2 as well.

Best track is Hold Your Liquor imo. The beat,hook,anger in the verse and all the Quotables.

bit stupid, but at least they play homage to what is arguably the greatest scene in cinematic history

Brilliant album, based on first listen I'd place it third behind MBDTF and College Dropout. Hold My Liquor and Blood on the Leaves are my favourites.

I'd put it fourth (808s last, I know it's very different and good and everything but it's just not got a number of songs I love).

Im not a huge kanye fan but I absolutely love this album. I Am God is by far and away my favorite

A solid 9 for the album. It was great.

Actually surprised this is number 1. MBDTF, with a ton of promotion compared to this (and being a much better album), didn't even make the top ten.

Why did he not promote this at all I only just realised it was even out I'm very distressed
