Never understood the idea that people would get freaked out by being one day older than they were the day before.

besides the fact that it means you have one less day on this planet? it does feel like a count down my friend. and it goes faster and faster.

30 didn't really bother me but 31 did for some reason :laugh: Now I guess 40 is the next big milestone, I think after that I'll just stop caring

It's not really something that you can decide to refuse though, is it? I was perfectly fine not existing billions of years before being born, and I'm fairly sure that will the case after my expiry date.

well of course it won't matter once we are actually dead. but we are humans, and we want to control everything, and we all think we are the center of the universe.

Absolutely. If i could live forever i would be invincible. I could shape the world however i liked it, because anyone who opposed me could not kill me. I could call myself a God and challenge anyone to try to kill me, and prove that i was invincible. I could convince humanity to worship me.

They could lock me away in a prison for life, but eventually someone would take pity on me and set me free again.

Why not? Life is interesting. I want to see what happens next. Death would be boring.

I do understand that perspective, but I'm not sure once real aging sets in that many people would want to go on infinitely.

If I could stay like I am now forever, that would be great.
