Aw,Cherie, not you aswell,:joker:halogen ovens are great things, much like a microwave but they cook food better, they are healthy as they drain fat and they don't dry your food up,i'de rather use my conventional cooker but for speed,my little hally is excellent.

Cherie 23-05-2013 12:50 PM

Oh! Thanks Kaz.

I have a halogen it's pretty handy but I don't use it as much as I should, I use my slow cooker a lot more.

'Pierce film lid and microwave for five minutes'. That's proper cooking.

Ammi 24-05-2013 03:54 AM

..how did you cook them in the end, Heyzeus..?...I cook mine in the oven in a bit of cider and herbs, so they don't dry out....not that I have any idea what they taste like as I don't eat them...they're probably horrible and my family are too polite to say....

lostalex 24-05-2013 04:35 AM

My dad made great pork chops, always grilled. You've gotta have a good BBQ sauce to go with it.

I covered them in honey and cooked them in the oven. I tend to over-cook meat that you can't eat bloody.

..yeah, my OH tends to do that..I think he's so worried about food poisoning if it isn't completely cooked, so he cooks it far too long and the boys always roll their eyes because it's usually unedible..I don't actually eat meat but I think I probably cook it ok because I only have to look at some of his over-cooked stuff to see that it isn't the best....

..was it good with the honey..did you put anything else on..?...
