It's not Entrapment, because not at any stage did she say "No mate, can't get you some" and then finally gave in to persistence. She was willing to give the hook up as soon as she was asked.

Either way she is screwed. Too "chavvy" to completely go pop star and not respected enough in the Urban scene to fall back there. Her best chance if to get Dappy to carry her again, but he's got his own Jail sentence to worry about :joker:

''The problem for defendants in private entrapment cases is that, unless there is some kind of criticism to be levelled specifically at the police or the Crown Prosecution Service relating to how the evidence was obtained, then any argument regarding exclusion of evidence or an abuse of process is likely to fail.''

Shame as it is a scam by hacks....
''It appears perverse that, while the law protects against the state causing citizens to commit illegal acts, it does not protect against private parties doing the same thing, where often the participation of the private ‘entrapper’ goes beyond that which would be deemed appropriate by law enforcement officers. Many newspapers stings involve an expensive and targeted campaign on one individual, based on limited or no intelligence, where the inducement is persistent and the primary incentive is to sell newspapers, not to prevent crime.''

Tulisa Contostavlos has been arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

The N-Dubz star, who confirmed her departure from The X Factor late last month, was at the weekend revealed to have been recorded offering to supply cocaine and cannabis to an undercover reporter from The Sun on Sunday.

The tabloid claimed that half an ounce of cocaine worth £800 changed hands following a deal that took place at London's Dorchester Hotel.

Contostavlos was arrested earlier today (June 4) by appointment along with a 35-year-old man and they are currently in custody.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed: "Officers from Westminster have arrested two people - a 35-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman - on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. They are in custody at a Central London police station."

Digital Spy has reached out to Contostavlos's publicist, who declined to comment, and her agents.

A Scotland Yard source commented on Sunday (June 2) that they expected Contostavlos to be questioned "within days" after a spokesperson for the police said they were "considering the information" presented to them.

In audio footage released by The Sun on Sunday, Contostavlos replied when asked if she could provide drugs: "Half my phone book sells it. Of course I can get it for you.

"Half the guys I know are drug dealers. One's a massive cocaine dealer. He's my best friend. He's a gangster - he's my gangster."

The 'Young' singer also claimed to have a code for drugs, referring to them as white and green "sweets".

Contostavlos stated during the taped conversation that she does not use drugs herself.

Her arrest comes on the same day as her X Factor replacement Sharon Osbourne made her debut at the first round of auditions for the new series in Glasgow.

X Factor told the BBC that Contostavlos's departure from the programme and claims of her supplying drugs "are unconnected". DS has also offered the show's representatives opportunity for further comment.

Contostavlos has received support on Twitter from a small number of her celebrity friends, with grime three-piece Platnum writing: "Fully fuming ..... We have murderes and peodophiles walking this street ......... I'm done."

The group posted a 'sad face' emoticon as news of the Female Boss singer's arrest broke, which was retweeted by Waterloo Road and Strictly Come Dancing star Chelsee Healey, who was pictured partying with Contostavlos in Marbella days before the scandal emerged.

Supplying class A drugs is quite a big sentence. I'd be worried if I was her.

I don't see how they can get that to stick tbh. She was never in the room any drugs so she didn't supply anything. Telling someone that you can get drugs then telling them to call whoever is not really a crime.

I think The Sun were desperate to trap her and had a big story, but she still mouthed off about these druggie friends she has. Silly girl.

Plenty of celebs have dabbled with drugs or know people that deal them and some of them have been able to get on with their life like nothing has happened, but because it is Tulisa who divides opinion the knives are out. I am not condoning what happened and she is not a saint either.

I feel bad for her, I don't know what she did to piss The Sun off but they really must have had it out for her to do this to her. Silly girl though. I'm not sure how likely it is they'll get any charges to stick?

I just don't understand why, What was the driving force behind this 'sting'?
They could have set up a similar senario for 100's of celebs, what was the motivation to target tulisa, how did these people get in her inner circle?...
