How long have you watched Big Brother for?

Genuine question...

Surely you'd have some idea what you'd be in for?

Hmmmm!

I freaked out. What were the papers saying? What would they say about my family? What would people think of me? I've never had a panic attack in my life, but I had one about one o'clock last night when I realised how cut off from life I actually was, and I wasn't even in the house yet - that's when I realised I had to get out.

If somebody decides not to believe me, fine, that's your right.. if you'd like to know more about my audition experience, I might make a thread tomorrow. But for now.. I want to get back to just being a fan of the show, not a contestant, a line which I think was very blurred before now.

Well there goes my chance of an easy 100 quid bet, selfish git :p. Thought you were out of the running? Or had someone else dropped out before you?

I've watched since BB3 (I was 7)

I can see the point you're making, and I say the same thing about people like Helen Flanagan going into the jungle last year. I did know what I'd be letting myself in for, but until it all started to become very real, I had no idea how I'd react. That's the best explanation I have for it.

Spose that's true in the fact you don't what to expect until you're in the situation, but still, something about it I don't buy (not that it actually matters).

Surely the chosen ones would be in hiding by now? They'd know too much about the series...

So what happened that day I was supposed to go for the 'guinea pig run' was that we did some group tasks before we (they) went in. They took some people aside, including me, and asked us to go home. At that point, we all assumed that we were out of the running..

turns out that the stronger contenders where not wanted in the house (as they had more of a chance of going in for the real thing, thus not wanting them to see the house)

They put people into the dry run who were less likely to make it into the actual show... now I've pulled out, one of those people are going to get a call. When I messaged you, that day I thought that it was the end.. then all of a sudden I got a call and said it was the other way around, and I was going further.

At that point, I felt very stupid and because I hadn't seen the house and would have nothing to report, I thought you'd assume I was lying. Thus, it was easier to lie to you and tell you that that was it...

Just out of interest... what would you of betted on? Me winning, or getting evicted? lmao!

It's been like this since C5 took over, I think BB12 went in hiding two weeks before, BB13 just one week.

Ahh, i see!

I'm not trying to slate you or anything btw, just abit cautious of people who claim such things.

I've been on many forums since BB5 and the amount of people who claim to be potential housemates is ridiculous :joker:

If you're telling the truth then fair do's and it's been an experience in itself I spose

If i'm completely honest, that's exactly why I auditioned in the beginning.. I just wanted to experience the process and didn't actually really want to get into the house. I didn't expect to get far, and I just got caught up in the whole thing.

The producers make you feel so special and unique that you just say yes and go along with things.. then all of a sudden you're one week away from being broadcast to three million people on 57 cameras and a radio mic for 70 odd days.

ive thought about this myself sawyer, i think youve made the right decesion this dosent just effect you, youve got to think about family and freinds and things you might have done in the past that would get dragged up, mostly for me id say walking down the streets haveing everyone judge me off a bad edit, its just not worth it, for 15 minutes on the telly you did the right thing.

Headie 06-06-2013 09:43 PM

Gutted that you're not going in. It would've genuinely have been great to see you in the house as a housemate!

When you entered, you could've said something like "Wow, This Is Big Brother!" :joker:

thanks, I saw earlier that you refused to comment on this as to not ruin it for me, I appreciate it! But you'd of been doing me a favour if you did!! haaha.. I completely agree with all your points there. I suppose me leaving that little hint was me sub consciously wanting a way out.

haha.. I always said I'd shoutout TiBB on my way in.. but didn't think of something as sly as that, I like it!

Did they bully you to stay or was you let go freely?

They never bullied me, everything was always my decision. Well, that's how they made it seem.

The producer on skype was genuinely gutted to let me go. They told me I stood out from the beginning (they probably say that to all of them) and that I could be throwing away £100,000. I was like you'll probably halve that in some stupid twist!! to which she laughed. The conversation went on for about an hour., but I had already made my mind up.

Headie 06-06-2013 10:01 PM

I'm curious to know about everything now.... (well, whatever you're allowed to say anyway) :joker:

Aww, I'd have voted for the first time in 10 years if you'd gone in. (To save you of course).

But, yeah, you made the right decision if it wasn't what you wanted in the end.
