We don't know if he heard that. We did see him biting his tongue at the 'sarcastic' comment'.

Called Dan up for being patronising ages ago "Being spoke to like that from an 18 year olf boy"

**** right off.

..yeah, basically this...I thought that was quite revealing of Dan and his 'superior attitude'..what difference does it make to Joe's opinion as to what age he is, that wasn't relevant at all...

Gusto Brunt 01-07-2013 07:12 AM

Wow, Joe - you make Dan look like a pussy cat!

cheeky_monkey 01-07-2013 09:24 AM

I don't hate Dan but I'm team Joe! :D

I hope The twins and Dan are in the BB house for longer as they are entertaining!

I would rather Callum and Daley get evicted before the entertaining housemates get evicted!

Ellen 01-07-2013 09:44 AM

Dan has interfered in arguments that had nothing to do with him but pulls Joe on it?! One rule for Dan a different rule for the others, im with Joe on this one.

It wasn't his opinion, it was the nasty way he expressed it that made me go 'whoa there!'
It wasn't as if Dan said something awful to him - Joe butted in on a trivial conversation and tried to tell Dan and Hazel what to do. He is getting to big for his boots imo. I've noticed the twins, especially Joe, getting too cocky now.

I'm with you.
Exactly and the other way round had Dan butted in a conversation he would have been derided left, right and centre again, so he cannot ever win with some jet.

When Dan joined in on arguments, he did to stick up for his friends. I like that he does that rather than let the likes of Jemima ride roughshod over quieter HM's. He often tries to calm down situations too - but no one mentions that.
If Dan cured world hunger, people would say he had no right to do that because it was none of his business. Joe, on the other hand, is just a cocky teenager with a nasty temper.
I wonder what the REAL reasons are why many people don't like Dan because he seems like a okay guy. There are HM's who behave far worse and they are applauded for it. It's crazy.

...I still don't think that Dan showed any respect at all by bringing Joe's age into it...it had no relevance at all, people are not 'wiser' because they are older..they're wiser because they're wiser, whatever their age....

I know! Ha - I just posted that sentiment in my last post. :xyxwave:

I echo all you have said completely, I understand justifiable criticism but any tiny thing that can be seized on to get at Dan on here and the floodgates open.
Unbelievable at times.

Good luck to you jet but it is a waste of time and effort.I agree with you anyway and completely too for one and I haven't ran a single other housemate down yet either but as you say there are others who behave much worse than Dan but even get praised for it.

Dan interfered in a discussion(at the time it was not an argument) with Jemima & Charlie, Dan made it into an argument. He stated when talking to Hazel he will say something when he doesnt agree with something. On that, what is the difference of Joe saying something when he didnt like what Dan was saying? :conf:

Well I don't agree with you there. Age brings experience, and experience brings wisdom. (Not always, of course!) You think Dan showed no respect for Joe - why on earth would Joe deserve respect after the tantrum he threw over nothing? Sitting there saying 'you ain't my mate', biting his nails and pouting?
Dan kept his cool admirably. I would have slapped the cocky little git.

Well with respect you have just defeated your own argument because you are hammering Dan for intervening in other discussions but now when Joe does it you side with him.
Both must be worng logically if Dan is generally all the time.

edit; Misread your quote, my apologies, you are saying they would both be wrong in that instance. Sincerest apologies Ellen.

Patricia4 01-07-2013 10:14 AM

Dan is the prick

I dont think i was hammering Dan at all, if you are going to berate someone for doing the exact same thing you do then its wrong.

I know for sure jet when I was 18 that I would not have been as disrespectful towards someone in their 30s for such a small reason,(even if there was one to begin with),had I spoken to say one of my older Brothers or Cousins like that I would have expected a massive backlash.

I also agree Dan kept his cool by the way.

I have already retracted that in the edit in my post Ellen.

But Joe didn't just disagree, did he? He went off on Dan in a way that was out of all proportion.
But as joeysteele says, what the point of even posting in Dan's defense. To many people, the fact he exists at all is a problem. It's a wonder he hasn't been criticized for just breathing yet.
Have at it. (Not you specifically Ellen, I'm talking in general by the way.)

He probably has, we just maybe somehow missed that among all the other hate threads against him jet.

Yes, me too! I would have had my 'ears boxed' as my Dad used to say.
