I think the first year or 2 will be tough as Ive stated several times...but if they survivre they will then thrive
they have a lot of quality in the squad , I like the signings , theyre mostly young and talented and shown major ability at all age levels too
I would like to have sign an extra winger and an attacking midfielder...ledley looked a player to bring back not sure if that's off..lets hope they don't regret dipping into their pockets more
maybe they will bring in some more Spanish scouts to scour for technically gifted europeans

Cardiff have done well signing Caulker, he's an excellent player. I genuinely mean no disrespect when I say he should have signed for a far more established team. And 8 million is far too much for him. Its like QPR all over again. They splashed the cash last summer and sunk like a stone.

I also couldnt help laughing when I read the official announcement on the Cardiff website listing his playing career. NO mention of Swansea at all. When we are arguably the club that established him in the PL.

I stand by my assertion....the performance and the atmosphere today in Cardiff was amongst the best Ive ever experienced at any sports event

No don't get carried away
this season is about survival , possibly just below mid table....
next season mid table is the aim

basically we need to consolidate our position in the top ;league
the stadium will be up to 38000 within 2 years and will probably sell out every match
thus making it even more of an intimidating bear pit of a stadium
not to mention more moola for Vincent tan and co to keep the stars and add a few

id be delighted if we could achieve something like what your boys at Swansea have achieved

Cardiff have long been a sleeping behemoth....the emotion and latent passion that's been bottled up for 50 years just poured out today
IT WAS DEEPLY EMOTIONAL:hugesmile:

I'm only joshing. The result will be a good morale boost for the club. But as i've said elsewhere, for teams like Cardiff and Swansea, the 'glamour ties' agains the big sides are nothing more than a sideshow.

The important part of the season is seeing if you can pick points up against teams like Fulham, Stoke, West Ham etc... oh wait. :joker:

The new teams are always going to be raring to go against the big teams, the results mean nothing.

You might be able to pull off a few fluky wins at home but as we saw last week whenever you travel to some real fortresses of football like West Ham then Cardiff just crumble and get destroyed

Novo 26-08-2013 01:41 AM

get back to your bloody welsh division with TNS and Bangor City

Brother Leon 26-08-2013 01:50 AM

Only a matter of time now.

Little did Annie know that Cardiff would be relegated, City would be going for the title and United would end up finishing 7th </3

That's the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Spoiler:

You do talk an incredible amount of bolloxs truth

alex_front2 04-05-2014 05:41 PM

We can laugh on hindsight but if Cardiff had a better owner than Tan and kept Malkay they had potential to make the club a big time club. Also get local supporters who glory hunt Liverpool.
