An eviction, the return of a wandering Carol and, on top of all that, a set of completely unexpected face-to-face nominations. It's been quite a busy evening for our celebrity housemates.
So how did the gang react in the immediate aftermath, having been ordered to name their two least favourite housemates – and moments after Sophie had left the House? Thankfully there weren't any blazing rows or floods of tears, but there was the odd moment of touching chat and also, as you might expect, a tiny bit of griping.
First off, there were hugs in the garden and Mario – one of three with Charlotte and Carol not up for nomination – reminded everyone that, with so many in the frame, everyone's chances are much better than they might be. He and Charlotte then got stuck into the post-nom refreshments with some vigour.
In the kitchen, Carol and Louie moaned about Dustin, seemingly pleased to see their dislike of the dude confirmed by other housemates (he received five nominations). The returning Carol looked like she was beginning to get past her cabin fever as she told Louie all the details of how awful it felt to be in lockdown with the best quality CCTV in the country and tons of tasty treats. Oh, the agony.
As for Abz, he took to his spot in the garden and chatted at length with Courtney. "You're getting too much stick from people and you're handling it well" he told our blonde bombshell. She replied: "you're actually one of my favourites in the House. You're a serene contribution."
The pair then went to the pool to rescue drowning bugs. A fittingly odd yet tranquil scene in the middle of a very, very hectic night. Here's to all the hectic nights yet to come...
