Hopefully she gives a sneaky plug for big brother while she's at it.

When giving the results she says 'The viewers have spoken, you're fate is sealed'. :joker:

Emma won't be able to plug it on the main show, but her increased popularity, will certainly help BB.

Increased twitter followers, would expect her current base to increase by a couple of hundred thousand probably.

More publicity/media coverage from tabloids. Perhaps she'll become the new "nations sweetheart" that the tabloids love to throw around.

More publicity on the bbc radio networks, which again in turn will help promote big brother should emma plug it etc.

All in all it's win, win. Could help the show gain a decent amount.

Can we not forget that Emma is a massive BB fan. I'm certain she will try and stay presenting BB, however low or high the pay may be.

oh for crap sake can the British tv networks stop recycling presenters! Stop being lazy and find new talent.

I feel this way too.
It seems there is no new talent as to presenters, I am sick of seeing the same people all over the place as presenters.
I am not that impressed with Emma as BB host anyway and think she will be out of her depth as the Voice host too.

Same here Joey, but it is not a popular opinion.:bawling:

That would be amazing! Well Dermott O'Leary accidently said Housemates instead of contestants on the X Factor so you never know.

Out of 9 million viewers some of them would try out big brother for the first time or revisiting it.

I'm so overwhelmed by your lovely messages re #thevoiceuk thank you so much. And for those asking, ill absolutely still be on Big Brother.

Might not last too long - The Voice has been god awful for the last two years and I can't see it running to a 4th if it doesn't improve dramatically next time round. Seriously. I mean it was pretty bad the first year... but we gave it a chance this year, thinking it couldn't get any worse.

...always happy to be proven wrong; it actually made me feel physically ill and we didn't even make it past the initial stages :joker:

Great to see Emma moving up and up in her career, great presenter.

Firewire 15-09-2013 01:57 AM

I think it's incredibly selfish to be unhappy at the news of Emma's assignment as The Voice UK host at the risk she won't return to BB. Be happy for her. If she doesn't return to BB, sure it'll be sad, but she's a great presenter and deserves great things.

Very much doubt that she'd take it over BB anyway if given the choice. She constantly says BB is her dream job, to leave it after one summer after she replaced Brian would be daft. It's not as if The Voice is setting the world alight.

But good luck to her, I'm sure being on primetime BBC will do her career wonders.

Exactly. Plus, the shows don't clash. The Voice airs January until April, all shows in January and February are pre-recorded. She'll host CBB for three weeks, 2 shows a week. Maybe BOTS 3 times a week. She'll host Monday to Friday, for 3 weeks. The Voice will be live March and April and BB won't start until June. I don't know why people are worrying.

Good luck to here and I do like The Voice.
