The flood of chemicals released by your immune system during anaphylaxis can cause you to go into shock; your blood pressure drops suddenly and your airways narrow, blocking normal breathing. Signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis include a rapid, weak pulse, a skin rash, and nausea and vomiting. Common triggers of anaphylaxis include certain foods, some medications, insect venom and latex.

Anaphylaxis requires an immediate trip to the emergency department and an injection of epinephrine. If anaphylaxis isn't treated right away, it can lead to unconsciousness or even death."

Ooh someones been on Wikipedia.

My flat just had French doors fitted and every window has been open to get rid of the fresh paint toxins and there are these things everywhere.

Safe to say when I move in on Monday I will be on full alert.

Don't kill them though ffs there must be thousands of people killing them from the media hysteria its like the Jews all over again.

Just carefully get a large glass and chuck it out half way up your street or on someone you hates doorstep.

Does anyone remember that video that was posted on here a while back with the thousands of spiders on the power lines?

EDIT:

This one

I don't know why I'm even in this thread :bored:

They are not the only spider in the UK that can bite. Your time would probably be better spent worrying about a wasp, bee, flying ant or a dog biting you.

Seriously Katrina it's not worth worrying yourself over.

I remember about four or five years ago the papers were up in arms saying giant crabs from Japan were coming over to Britain and were going to wipe out our local shore life.

Just sensationalist clap-trap, you'll be ok!

Really? Like ones that can cause damage?

That's true those wasps are a nightmare! I've been chased twice this week by wasps, those pesky things are the worst!

Daily mail, sun, Star they're all pretty notorious for this really.

Remember that sensationalism sells papers. Making people afraid gets them money because people want to know what's going on. It's a naughty trick.

Any bite will cause damage...

Don't believe what the tabloids tell you. Read a report from a sensible newspaper

Haha! I read in the daily mail they are brought over by refugees, make webs in the houses of unmarried mothers and are transported to 'strivers' homes in the legs of benefit claimants....
