The Sun journalist. So that says it all.

He's a top grade bellend. If he dislikes Louis, then he's probably a top guy.

Gary is complaining about Nick's song

On Xtra Factor tonight Gary told Louis that Candy was a horrible song choice for Nicholas. Didn't he write that song? :joker:

he probably just meant that it was a poor choice for Nicholas and that he couldn't do it justice :joker:

We all love it when "the gays" become mega queeny and get into a bitch fight. My money is on Dan. You go girl.

I quite liked it actually, but needed more oomph. Nick is not good uptempo.

alex_front2 17-12-2013 12:27 PM

But im sure there is more up tempo stuff in charts now than 5, 10 years ago. Which is why everyone goes crazy for rare ballads from adele and emili sande.

Depends who sings the ballads. Nick sends me right to sleep.

alex_front2 17-12-2013 12:33 PM

Ballads generally work imo now if the singer isn't a typical ballad singer eg Eminem has done of the best (rap) ballads. Wrecking Ball would have been a mega flop if someone obvious like Celine Deon or Sam B sang it, but Miley with her twerking scandal, nudity and carefully contived pseudo controversity stopped it from being s slushy dirge.

In the 1980s the best song writers would lend their songs to big name established divas like cher, celine and tina turner. Now they give their best to younger chateuse like ella eyre, rihanna, miley, iggy azealia etc. Sharon and Gary are deluded if they think sia will want to give her songs to a Sam or Nicholas.

the problem is Nick has no charisma which you really need for a song like that, he's no Robbie Williams. Robbie doesn't have a great voice but he's got so much personality he can pull it off

True. I was hoping Nick would pull it off, but he fell short.

that's the big problem with nick AND Sam , they are competant singers - in a West End way - but yes you need charisma for Candy, a good voice is not enough. Ithink Gary could have been bitchier but spared Nicholas' feelings imo

Vanessa 17-12-2013 12:48 PM

I know. I think it reflect the low viewing figures we've had this year. The show is in rapid decline.

they're not here to critique the guests Gary did nothing wrong. I'd rather the judges stay true to themselves
