I think he'd rather let her keep repeating it as it makes her look ridiculous.

He did try, but she was in no mood to listen.

I'm judging him because it was one of the lowest blows in BBUK history, to humiliate someone through the actions of their dead husband. It's not that hard to understand for most people.

And surely it's not that hard to understand as to why Jim said that to Linda, because she's been attacking him to all the other HM's and digging away at him since the first few days in that house, he was bound to crack under all the constant abuse she's dished out to him.

Unsurprising really.

I did say when it's all calmed down. Hopefully he put her straight today.

Can't stand Linda, but she didn't lie about Jim calling her an "asshole". She misheard him say "Linda after I....." and actually believes what she's telling everyone. You hear what you want to hear and Jim never stood a chance of her ever looking upon him favourably.

And that's fair enough. Bringing their past into it, especially when it's not their own but a deceased family member is out of order.

He never mentioned her husband.

She was the only one who mentioned her husband. She's so manipulative! :fist:

Without him they are nothing in that house, and they know it.

He knows that and i expect he'll bite ack, in his own witty way. Bring on the one liners!

Obviously the public do not share Lindas views on outing her thieving hubbys past so she must be seething inside. Luisa is playing a dangerous game with Jim. If he sets his mind to it he will destroy her.

You can tell that the defense of Jim is feeble when you have to split hairs like that. :notimpressed:

Very true. 'He never mentioned her husband', Linda did, is an oft repeated mantra. What he mentioned was ABOUT her husband - did he expect that Linda wouldn't explain what it was about? Did he think she would let the others think she had torrid extra marital sex with Frank Carson in his dressing room or something? Have them speculating behind her back?

Besides that, when Luisa relayed Jim's message it was sprung on Linda - she didn't have time to ponder and think what to say.
The natural and truthful reaction is to say "Oh that's about my husband".

When Jim said what he did, he told the whole viewing public. It was something in Linda's private life that few knew about. Now it is all over the press and twitter for people to snigger over. If Linda hadn't explained it, the public would have had a field day speculating about the possible scenarios between her and Frank Carson in the time it took to find out.

Linda could easily have lashed back and brought something up from HIS past, like his wife beating for example, but she didn't. We heard her say that never once has she mentioned his past and the HM's agreeing with her.
You have to give her credit for that.

The justification that it was some exasperated accident that caused him to blurt it out is laughable.
It was pre-planned cold calculated revenge, he'd been stewing in the garden wondering what he could do to cause maximum damage... It was no happy accident but a vindictive exercise to expose this story to humiliate linda.

flamingGalah! 18-01-2014 11:27 AM

PMSL :joker:

You lot crack me up...

At least the voting public seem to be on Jim's side  :xyxwave:

Livia 18-01-2014 11:32 AM

If you add up all the things Linda's said about Jim since she arrived, mostly behind his back it's true, Jim bringing up the Frank Carson thing pales into insignificance by comparison, really.

Well said. It depends on the viewing public's morals and powers of discernment whether they think it is okay to reveal a private matter on a reality show for spite, and as many of the typical viewers have not only saved Jim, but saved him with many votes, then that is all I'm going to say about that.
