We were only allowed to pick from a selection of names, we had sponsors and they chose the names to add to a wall then we chose one IIRC

The kids now can choose whatever name they want in most of the schools, not that you ever even use it again anyway

I had to be named quickly because I like nearly died when I was born. My man and dad named me because my mum was at another hospital because I was rushed to Guys and St Thomas.

They asked my dad if they wanted me christened.
