Great news, it will be worth watching again now

she did originally, but has said she would be open to a return now that Simon is back

She's a weirdly captivating personality vacuum who uses the show to promote her one half baked lead single and otherwise is a glorified clothes rack. Don't think bringing her back will do much to 'save' the show, the format is tired, to put it simply, the public are bored of the X Factor, we've had it on our screens for over a decade - the judges won't affect anything. This is the most literal "reliving the glory years" hiring ever.

I'm excited about Simon returning:).

I couldn't agree more, the show needs to be put to rest cause it's just dull now. Bringing Cheryl back is a clever move by simon imo but it also shows that it's the only leg the show has left to stand on. It's also not going to change the tired, dried out format. It consists of the same sob stories and dull repetitive editing techniques every year and i'm ready for something new to occupy our screens.

Excellent news, Never had a problem with her as a judge or as a person. Cheryl & Simon > Gary and Nicole (although I liked Nicole too)
