I agree with Jesus, Chelsea had it a little easier than City but I have to question how long can City spend 100m a year on players and still come this far short?

The biggest mistake city made was not upping the ante after they won the league. If they'd have gone on to make some superstar signings that summer - instead of Rodwell and Garcia, they would have kicked on. They didn't use that moment to build on their upward curve, and now they're just in the mix with Chelsea and potentially Arsenal.

Some Arsenal moments (no order)

Cesc

I was going absolutely mental when this happened

Not at the moment, as they've got a tough battle with Southampton on their hands for mid table obscurity. But once they spend the national debt of Europe in the summer, then no doubt they'll be declaring what a magnificent achievement it is to return to the top 4.

I can't wait for the world cup this year, I'm hoping that england go quite far as it always seems to bring people together when they are playing. I remember the 2004 world cup in Germany and literally everyone in my street got together at my house and we all crammed into the living room to watch it together! That was always good fun!

Poor Drew, having no Arsenal moments in his top 5 and then returning 24 hours later after a long Googling session to find some moments from the last 10 years

the truth 14-03-2014 01:54 AM

1. gareth edwards try for barbarians 1972
2. Bothams ashes
3. ali v foreman
4. borg v macenroe
5. brazil 1970
6. man utd winning european cup
7. tendulkars last test hundred.
8. bets goal in tin 1968 euro cup
9. in golf either us winning ryder cup or woosnam winning masters
10 maradona goal versus us in 1986, genius

In fairness to Chelsea they have had the same spine for a long time. Terry,Lampard and even Cole(even if he was a signing has been a vital part to their team). They also at least were semi relevant before the takeover. I suppose we can thank the great Sir Alex for presenting both scum Moneybags clubs from completely dominating our league...it's going to happen now though. I can see Jose and Chelsea dominating for years to come tbh. By far the best manager in the league and the 2nd highest budget to use is too much to stop really once they get a striker.

Locke. 14-03-2014 07:24 PM

Only Brendan can stop them now
