Really enjoyed episode 2 too. :clap1:

Spoiler:

Dr Sweet being Dracula was fully expected, but I'm glad he is. I've loved Christian Camargo as Sweet so far so I'm really looking forward to seeing more of him as Dracula.

Really excited to see where this Frankenstein / Jekyll / Lily story goes too and if they can actually bring back Brona's personality (I doubt it ). The Frankenstein / Lily scene outside Dorian's house was great.

I assume Hyde will enter the picture as a result of Jekyll's medication he uses to treat the violently insane being used on him for some reason and having the reverse effect or if they put a twist on it and it turns out Hyde is his real personality and he's Jekyll while under the medication.

Spoiler:

Frankenstein annoys me, he wants to own Lily. Imo Lily is doing pretty good work, she's only killing people who deserve to be killed really lets be honest. like that weird ass group in that live snuff show thing.

Spoiler:

Yeah that's true, so far she's only killed men who objectify and/or abuse women. I mean, I could still see her killing innocents without batting an eyelid but it's a nice touch that she does at least care for people who remind her of herself and the degradation she went through as Brona. Makes her a lot more interesting than she would have been if they just went full-on cliche supervillain with her and forgot about her motivations.

I'd like her to turn on Dorian at some point too.

I kind of liked Dorian until he killed Angelique

Same. He can't be forgiven for that. :hmph:

I hope Ethan meets Lily eventually (I keep forgetting Dorian's slept with him too so that reunion would be even more interesting ).

I know, can't wait for that reunion either. She will surely remember him

Watching last week's episode now. Lily mentioning Ethan was a nice touch (funny timing since we'd just been talking about them ). Now they just need to come face to face again.

Lostie! 22-05-2016 05:57 PM

The ending :o :o

I know, I loved them together :flutter:

I assume you mean Lily? I was talking about the flashback at the end with the Creature being Vanessa's orderly.

But speaking of Lily, I'd love her to kill Dorian eventually. I wonder if destroying his portrait would kill him. :hee:

Ohhhhh yeah, I forgot about that bit

It does in the book of Dorian grey anyway so maybe so

:fc:

Dorian's no less evil than the rest of the men Lily is vowing revenge upon. He murdered another mistreated member of society who loved him just because he thought she knew too much. Lily at least has motivations for going all psycho, Dorian just seems to be in it for the blood-lust.

Justice for Angelique!!! :fist:

Yep totally agree, he's a horrible character in the book version aswell, shallow and vain

Lostie! 23-05-2016 12:06 PM

I will admit I was surprised by him being revealed as evil last season. I'd never read the book and so I fell for his nice-guy act so it was a cool twist for me.

Niamh. 23-05-2016 12:08 PM

In the book, he'll get obsessed by interesting people but tires of them quickly and carelessly tosses them aside once he gets bored of them

Lostie! 23-05-2016 12:17 PM

I really need to read it tbh. That, Dracula and Frankenstein are all high on my wishlist.

Lostie! 29-05-2016 05:58 PM

The latest episode :clap1:

That scene with Lucifer and Dracula both trying to manipulate Vanessa at the same time (with a serpent shadow appearing for Lucifer and a bat shadow appearing for Dracula) in particular was fantastic.

I can't believe Vanessa and the Creature have so much history together that we (and they) were never aware of. Since his memories of his life are returning to him I assume he'll remember meeting Vanessa soon enough.

I love Dr Seward, a great addition to the show.

Just caught up on the last two episodes, loved Vanessas episode so much. Eva Green is a crazy good actress, I watched her episode and then Ethans straight after and Ethans just couldn't compare to Vanessas. I loved their history too Lostie, although i was pretty worried that it would turn out that Vanessa was the one who killed him for a bit :worry:

Niamh. 02-06-2016 03:00 PM

I never realised that Penny dreadful was filmed in Ireland

Lostie! 05-06-2016 09:36 PM

Just watching last week's now. I know Hecate's an evil baby-murderer and generally an awful human being but I kind of respect that she's an animal lover.

Never considered that, that would have been an awesome twist!

The horse, poor thing :bawling:

Lostie! 05-06-2016 10:33 PM

Ethan going to the dark side :omgno:

Lostie! 13-06-2016 12:49 AM

Just watched the latest one, loved it :clap1:

It really seems like they're building towards Justine killing Dorian. Or maybe Lily will realise she doesn't need him and do it

The goodbye between Vanessa and Lyle </3 I love their friendship.

Vanessa sleeping with Dracula can't be good :worry:

Lostie! 17-06-2016 02:59 PM

Ooooh, the ending of the last episode :o

Niamh. 17-06-2016 03:01 PM

I Know :worry: Dorian the dirty bastard and I hate Frankenstein so much, sexist horrible **** arrgghh

Lostie! 17-06-2016 03:03 PM

The scene with Lily and the grieving mother at the graveyard  (I can't believe Brona had a child who died </3)

The production values in that scene in particular were stunning (as they are in the whole show).
