"Is hairbrush cockney rhyming slang?"

Jack_ 20-06-2014 03:53 PM

I know lol.

They then go into detail and discuss why she said this thinking she said it because she was a model lol.

Rob's podcasts are great I always listen to them. This is the first season of bbuk he's seen so his knowledge about it isn't as high as most but he's entertaining at least.

Apologies, we're doing the best we can! Main goal was to introduce a ton of new people to BBUK, which I think goes under-appreciated in the States (and which I've consistently liked better than the US version). We've seen in the past that when we podcast about shows people have never watched, many of Rob's podcast listeners will give it a shot...and from the Twitter response we've converted many folks and made addicts of them.

And I swear she said "airbrush." ;)

For the record, I started watching BBUK with the CBBUK season in which Michael Madsen from Reservoir Dogs was a houseguest. Proceeded to watch BBUK 2012, which I absolutely loved, and then have seen every CBBUK and BBUK since...as well as the two BBAUs. I went back to the archives and have seen BBUK 2000 and 2001, the first CBBUK, and the first two BBAUs...currently a couple weeks into BBUK 2002, but have stalled out, as I watch the current season.

We'll be podcasting again tonight, after we get to watch the live eviction, around 9pm Eastern Time in the US.

OMG BB 2002 is legendary.

It was huge at the time and is definitely in my top 3. You need to get BB15 out the way first then give 2002 the attention it deserves lol.

Welcome to the forum :p

Watch BB6UK & BB7UK now, they are the best season from a BBUK and Worldwide Big brother too

and the best season of a show ever aired on British TV

Will do! It was strange watching them divide the house in BBAU last fall, and then I started watching BBUK 2002...and saw the original "house divided" concept. Strange coincidence. I'm right at the point where the house has been split in two...will have to go back to it!

I'm a bit OCD when it comes to watching past series, so may have to subject myself to BB4UK and BB5UK first...besides, if they are lesser series, it will make me appreciate 6 & 7 all that much more. :)

Thanks! We obviously struggle a little with some of the local references/slang, and Rob hadn't seen the show before now...but otherwise, I'm glad we could get a bunch of his listeners turned onto the UK version.

BB3 & BB5 are amazing

BB4 is most likely the most boring season ever, since after BB3 they wanted to calm the house down since BB3 was a bit wild

for me 5,6,7 were the best

AarynGriesfan 20-06-2014 05:09 PM

Evel Dick producer on rtvzone first got me into bbuk a few years ago and I have since seen most of the bbuk series and prefer it to the us one most of the time. I have seen 3 5 6 7 8 9 10 parts of 11 12 13 and now 15. I enjoyed 7 and 9 the most but 3 5 6 and 10 had their moments for sure. This forum is how I keep up with the show from the US so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do Curt.

Macie Lightfoot 20-06-2014 07:39 PM

^ that's cool no one cares about Dick

anyway, BB3 is ridiculously overrated and BB4 is definitely underrated (it's bad but not legendarily so)

AarynGriesfan 20-06-2014 07:54 PM

that's cool and all that you don't care about Dick but I was referring to this other guy that produced his show not him to explain how I first heard about the show and why I starting watching it and enjoying it.
