And as a few others have said, if you want something done you complain to Endemol, Channel 5 and executive producers directly - not the regulatory body of TV itself. The former should and would probably address viewers concerns if there were enough complaints and would step into certain incidents where necessary, the latter would restrict what Channel 5 is actually allowed to show which has negative effects for the viewers because that means more cover-ups (Freezer-Gate is a good example) and a more censored programme. Way to shoot yourself in the foot.

"PC" Big Brother <3333333 keep telling off the people I hate when they get out of line

There was incessant complaining before the race row. It's just the race row had them running scared.

So it's not the complainers to blame for it being watered down, they've always done it for TV shows like this. Acting like it's something new in recent years is ridiculous.

Didn't you read the post where someone said they'd complained to Endemol and didn't even get the courtesy of a reply? If you feel strongly about something, you make a noise about it. I thought you of all people would agree with that, Jack.

Endemol aren't going to reply to everyone and as a matter of fact neither are OFCOM, I mentioned in my post that if enough people complained they would do something. The point I'm making is that everyone complaining to the regulatory body rather than the production company, broadcaster or even someone like Ben Frow, could very well have serious implications on what Channel 5 are allowed to show. It's not just a case of them stepping in to do something, I think people are forgetting OFCOM monitor and decide what can and can't be broadcast - not dictate what production decisions must be made - so all complaining to them will lead to is cover-ups of incidents like these as what happened with Jay and the freezer in BB12 and a lot less free reign for C5 to produce an uncensored, adult programme which Big Brother is.

And they posted their business on this site.

If they wanted to keep the information private then why would they post it on a discussion forum?

I get your point, but there's a line. The serious implications are for Endemol to address... but they were slow in addressing it in my opinion.

I hope the public isn't fooled by it. She still deserves to go.

samanthacurtis 18-06-2014 06:27 PM

I was sick of seeing Helen being a bully. Ive never made a complaint on a show before and been tempted if i see any more of it!

No one said it should be private. I think Livia was defending them from being slagged off. It's their right to complain if they feel they need to without being criticised for it.

Think i might make a few calls to get her out

Ammi 18-06-2014 06:31 PM

..we know that there were complaints so does it matter if any were from forum members..?..Livia is right, it's up to anyone who feel they want to complain and even if they do post that, it's still the topic which is for discussion and not any members or what they do...

The ONLY way she can win with these odds is if BB do something dodgy to keep her, anything else and it would cause uproar, its 100% impossible she can stay

Well they can't expect just to post their actions on the site and not expect it to be discussed/critiscised on a BB forum.

It didn't even need to be mentioned tbh, it just seemed loike attention seeking/drama starting with the whole "yes I'm so happy, oh btw i complained to ofcom guys *goes offline*. Should've just kept it to himself since he must know that we mall love this show to pieces and are obviously going to be annoyed if members on here complain.

No, the topic is Big Brother, not individual forum members.
