I just remember her because Davina told her to shut up whilst she interviewed Tracy.

It is what it is. If you ask specific questions about things then I'm sure anyone will answer.

Yeah pardon me for valuing articulate people and intelligent discussions (foreign concepts to quite a few posters here.) This is a discussion forum; I discuss my taste and other people should be able to discuss theirs rather than just citing a difference in opinions and ending the conversation.

BB11 was tragic. Ben going over John James, Dave and Andrew was the final coffin.

The producers and editing team having a fetish for JJJ giving them 99% of airtime every night, awful.

They don't end a discussion. They give an answer to the thread's question and then you say "You're wrong". Maybe try starting a discussion in the first place and ask people why they chose things?

But remain on your intelligent and articulate perch looking down at us stupid little people. Good luck to you.

A Big Brother forum probably isn't the best place for you to be if you're in search of intelligent discussion. And nobody needs to justify themselves to you. Unless they're claiming their opinions to be fact they can be as succinct or explicit as they want.

Macie Lightfoot 22-07-2014 12:47 AM

I've started discussions and explained my opinions. I've also asked questions to which other people (read: yourself) just dismiss a difference opinions. So yes, that does end the potential for a discussion. Oh well. C'est la vie

Redway 22-07-2014 01:04 AM

... maybe because it is a difference of opinion?

I think it's pretty obvious that was Marsh's opinion and you yourself said that there's a difference between what someone thinks of the quality and objective features, such as ratings (they were the exact same for both series).

It would also help if you weren't so condescending. Maybe then people would be more willing to explain.

Marsh. 22-07-2014 01:05 AM

It's like smashing your head on a wall. You get the same effect.

I'm guessing that did quite some damage for Macie if he can't get his head round the fact that not everyone agrees with him.

BB4 but BB11 is very very close

Me. I Am Salman 22-07-2014 11:45 AM

So Marsh states it was BB4 ruined the momentum.. and Troy disagrees saying it was BB2 that did it.. and everyone immediately jumps on Troy for apparently not allowing people to have an opinion. Am I reading this right?

I still remember it being covered by all sorts of media publications (the whole Chiggy thing was all over Heat magazine and the like, do they even cover BB any more?) and it had pretty decent ratings. I mean it was a solid 1m up on BB9, for starters. (3.8m average vs. 2.8m)

And in terms of housemates/entertainment... pretty much everyone delivered in that cast (except Kara-Louise, Liam (the proto-Winston) and Jonathan).

BB9 got 3.6, BB8 got 3.9

But no BB8 wasn't awful in the slightest, the interest was still there (Charley's fake eviction getting like 6ish million and so on)

Daniel. 22-07-2014 12:17 PM

BB8 could never be the worst for one reason:

No, "everyone" wasn't involved. Stop jumping into threads and trying to misconstrue everything to try and "get one over" on me. It's incredibly tedious. If you don't actually understand what's been discussed in the thread, then ask, don't jump to a conclusion just to post something against me, yet again.

Move on.

Marsh. 22-07-2014 01:32 PM

In terms of viewing figures, there's always the argument that the previous series has an effect on the following years figures. If people hate it one year then it'll take time for them to be convinced the next year.

Joelle. 22-07-2014 07:02 PM

Didn't watch the first 3

BB5 > BB7 > BB6 > BB10 > BB8 >>> BB13 > BB9 > BB14 > BB15 > BB4 > BB12 > BB11

well someone thinks quite highly of themselves. i defended troy because i cringed at how he was suddenly being ganged up on, and i find that we agree on a lot so naturally i was gonna be on his side. we spoke about how similar our views were in the thread, i didn't come here randomly to just 'post against you', don't flatter yourself.

find it hilarious how you lambast someone who has a different opinion for apparently not letting other people have an opinion (you say this ALL the time, it's truly truly tedious) and accuse anyone who calls you out for being in the wrong as simply trying to get one over you. get off your high horse love.

Ganged up on by who? Me? I was the only person talking to him about it.

It's not about having different views, it's about him coming into a thread and telling people "Your opinion is wrong, I'm right".

Comprehend that and move on.

If you find my posts tedious, don't read them, stick me on ignore because you bore me Sally.

I can't help but feel a sense of double standards when all of that applies to the other person, not Marsh.

"since when is bb2 considered a step up"

Ah Yes What A Monster. How Dare He Tell Us We Can't Have An Opinion.

It doesn't have to be considered a step up by anyone, though... all it was was someone else's opinion and what other people think is totally irrelevant.

Marsh. 22-07-2014 07:43 PM

Instead of coming into a thread, reading one line and jumping to conclusions, actually read the conversation or if it's too tedious for you put me on ignore because I really can't be bothered pointing out the obvious for you Sal.

You're over exaggerating everything, no one called him a monster, I simply responded to him and we had a disagreement.

reece(: 22-07-2014 08:28 PM

People voted BB8, BB6 and BB14 over the other atrocities? :umm2:
