Hey Girlie.... how are you this afternoon?

lily. 16-11-2006 11:56 AM

Not too shabby. Been doing some laundry, and decided to take a well-earned break..

Not working today?

~Kizwiz~ 16-11-2006 11:58 AM

I dont work anymore honey.... i'm a full time Mummy
Had to quit my job so I could move home

lily. 16-11-2006 12:00 PM

OooO... I didn't know that...

How is that working out for you? Are you enjoying it? I've been doing it for 9 years now... it will be a culture shock for me to return to work!

~Kizwiz~ 16-11-2006 12:02 PM

I'm loving it! I hated working and only getting to see her from Friday till Monday. Its strange being near my family but in a nice way. Plus I'm much closer to Red now.

lily. 16-11-2006 12:08 PM

Yeah, it's nice getting to be a stay-at-home mum. It's hard work too though, and a lot of ppl don't appreciate that, but it is nice especially when the kids are in their pre-school years. We haven't had much money for the last 9 years, but I'm glad I was able to be there throughout. It's all about the balance, isn't it.

Now my youngest is at school all day it's a bit of a culture shock for me not having a kid with me for most of the day, but I'm gradually getting used to it, and might look for something part-time to fill in the hours. Maybe even a college course or something .. could take up a whole new career ... painting, bricklaying & joinery perhaps? maybe not..

~Kizwiz~ 16-11-2006 12:13 PM

Its lovely being at home. I do find that my brain needs exercising. Was thinking of doing a course too. because my job was so stressful it was hard ajusting to the quiet life.

I found a lovely little house in Rutland but have been told i have to leave it on 31st December as the landlady wants it back for a family member. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to me huh??? I'm gutted as my daughter has just got used to being here and now I have to uproute her again. Its frustraing as I dont know where I will be going as the council dont tell you until two weeks before the move. i dont know whether it will be before xmas or inbetween then and new year! Its a stress I could do without to be honest.

lily. 16-11-2006 12:17 PM

Yeah, moving house is probably the most stressful thing you can do. I've been there too. And it's made worse if you have kids. My daughter was 4 and my son was 6 months when I had to move. It was around October time too, just when I could have done with getting organised for xmas.

But one thing about the "idle brain" situation is that while you have internet access, you needn't worry. This thing has been a lifesaver for me on many days when there are no adults to talk to. Sometimes we just need a break from things and it's nice to come online and chat to others who are in the same boat.

So, it's kept my brain functioning, and my typing speed up, even if I don't do anything particularly constructive while I'm here!

~Kizwiz~ 16-11-2006 12:20 PM

Here here. The puter as save my brain from goign to mush..... (i knwo I didnt have much in the first place:laugh:)

Mind you its nice to be able to talk to Red and have an adult conversation when we're together. He keeps my head straight!

lily. 16-11-2006 12:21 PM

An adult conversation with Red.. now there's an unusual event.. *runs*

It used to be strange before I had the puter. I would spend all day with a toddler and a baby, and hubby would arrive home at some unearthly hour, and I would forget how to talk to adults!!!

I sometimes wonder how I survived those years!!!

~Kizwiz~ 16-11-2006 12:31 PM

Thats very true. When I first had my daughter I had no cable or internet and your right your brain does forget how to hold a decent conversation.

Oh and yes..... Red can hold an adult conversation....... he keeps me mentally stimulated  (no dirty remarks please) :spin2:

lily. 16-11-2006 12:34 PM

I wasn't going to say anything about skull*****ing ... *ho hum*

~Kizwiz~ 16-11-2006 12:37 PM

LMAO!!!!!

Its strange, I have got out of a very long term relationship and I feel like myself again. I was stifled for 10 years and now I'm not. I feel like I did when I was 17..... ME!

And that feels great! To be allowed to be myself, whether naughty or good its brill

lily. 16-11-2006 12:43 PM

Naughty is always good... if you can't be good, be bad and be really, really good at it!!!

~Kizwiz~ 16-11-2006 12:45 PM

Now you of all people know what happens to naughty boys and girls!!!!!

But its fun.... so I let myself slip from time to time from being the "Good Girl" that I am

lily. 16-11-2006 12:46 PM

Lmao @ "You of all people"

lily. 16-11-2006 12:52 PM

Mwahahahahaha!

~Kizwiz~ 16-11-2006 12:54 PM
