Haven't really looked at this before but I think I've got 4 of these.
|
I think I came up with 4 as well.
|
For 2 points: (What comes fourth?)
Connection 1: http://i.imgur.com/JrBTLRm.png Connection 2: http://i.imgur.com/RtdeREC.png Connection 3: http://i.imgur.com/550siLI.png Connection 4: http://i.imgur.com/Sruq30I.png Connection 5: http://i.imgur.com/29KWsW7.png Connection 6: http://i.imgur.com/RprQhC5.png |
Just had a go... no idea on #5 or #6 though.
|
..this is so annoying, I know what connects 1 and 2 but I still can't get what the last connection would be for sure and 5 and 6...well, damn...
|
#1 was annoying me as well until I realised what it was  You'll kick yourself.

post to bump it up
Took a crack at #6 I feel like I know what it is about, but not sure if I got the last in sequence right. |
I do believe it's about time for some answers
Only Shaun got this devilish sequence for 2 points. The first clue is a quote from the weatherman Michael Fish, so one "Fish". Pisces is the zodiac symbol of two fish. The French for "goldfish" is "poisson rouge", or "Red Fish". So, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish! In my case, I gave the example of Dory from Finding Nemo. http://i.imgur.com/JVC4gJ3.png Shaun, Mokkajava and James managed to deduce these were all Vegas hotels, but Mokkajava plucked for the wrong one! Shaun and James correctly guessed MGM Grand, as it is the largest casino on the Las Vegas Strip. http://i.imgur.com/D73eZgq.png James, Shaun and Ammi managed this for 3 points, correctly identifying they are in fact the four directors of the Harry Potter film series in chronological order, last up was David Yates, who directed the final four films. http://i.imgur.com/6bOWG2s.png Ammi, James and Shaun also saw through this sequence for 3 points. Now expecting anyone to realise these were Rage Against The Machine singles was difficult enough, but it would've been impossible to expect people to know the charting positions of these tracks! Unless of course, fourth in the sequence had been Christmas number 1 a few years back :) http://i.imgur.com/PggEhYx.png Only James took a crack at this :/ These are the sizes in degrees of "slices" of a circle, if that circle was split into 6,5,4, and 3 pieces. No points there. http://i.imgur.com/a9L8IDh.png Sequence 6, Mokkojava incredibly managed to get without the connection. The answer is Panama, but nobody seemed to know why. We have a picture of a man, a picture of a (floor)plan, a picture of a canal, and finally a picture of Panama. This is the famous Palindrome "A man, a plan, a canal, Panama". AMANAPLANACANALPANAMA backwards is AMANAPLANACANALPANAMA http://i.imgur.com/tHHxtZE.png |

In them I answered #'s 1, 3, 4, and 5. I got #1 and 5 wrong but I was right for 3 and 4. Did you not get these answers? |
damnit, I even thought they were "man", "plan" and "canal" but have never heard of that palindrome
|
and i am ashamed by the group of the first wall i've identified first
|
Mokkajava your score is updated :)

I thought the Panama connection had to due to a recent news article, but now I know the journalist was just being cheeky by using a palindrome in the title of his storey |
..ughhh, I'm going to send some but I absolutely know that most are probably wrong....
