People can be tolerant of others failings and considerate towards their feelings. It doesn't take much effort. Threads like this don't help towards that attitude.

It takes a lot of effort, to be fair. I fail to see how I was being inconsiderate towards peoples feelings, when I was stating my opinion.

Some people will feel this thread is an attack on them, after all there was a quote at the start of the thread. It's not your fault you have your opinion, it's valid opinion to have, many on the site will have it and you have very right to state it. But is it right to belittle people, with maybe little confidence, with a thread like this? Do we as a community need to do it? Are there times when our opinions about certain matters best left unsaid?

Some people may be to embarrased to post on this forum again now, or even scared! Because they might think people will make fun of them.

This thread is kind of mean I think...It's not like people make spelling mistakes on purpose.

Hiya. What are you up too?? << Thats got a mistake in it...But the text speech is way more annoying, and preventable.

I agree and that is why as moderators and administrators we jump on it hard and stamp it out.

Can I just say sorry to people for sounding like I'm intolerable of spelling mistakes. I think I went a bit far with "you're entitled to your opinion".
The last thing I want is for people to be scared of posting. :sad:

I don't think there should be a rule on spelling. People can stop themselves using text speech, but some people can't spell - and introducing that rule with isolate a lot of members on here.
I'm just happy that text speech is stamped out by Mods and Admins. :thumbs:

Not the people in the thread, I just mean...Well, How can spelling mistakes annoy someone, I know you can't help it Lauren, But I just don't get it.

Even if I can understand the word, but it's just not spelled correctly it annoys me. I dunno why :sad: I wish it didn't cos it's really being picky, but- I dunno.
