OMG OMG OMG

@MrCelebUK: @FleurEast's debut single is being produced by Kuk Harrell and Tricky Stewart - last record they worked on together was umbrella by @rihanna

I'm SO here for another Umbrella bop

Slay @ the producers credentials

Quote:

Earning his fourth Grammy for the vocal production of Rihanna's No. 1 Billboard Single "Only Girl In The World", Harrell is also the vocal producer and co-writer of Rihanna's Grammy-winning single "Umbrella". A composer and engineer on Beyoncé's chart topping "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" from the album I Am... Sasha Fierce, he is also vocal producer and engineer of the Diane Warren-penned "I Was Here" from Beyoncé's 2011 album 4. He also produced the majority of the vocals on Mary J. Blige's Platinum album Growing Pains, which recently won a Grammy for "Best Contemporary R&B Album", 2008. The first single from Growing Pains, "Just Fine", earned a Grammy nomination for best R&B vocal performance in 2007.

Kuk Harrell is currently signed to a worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV U.K., and is considered one of the most sought after vocal producers in the industry.

Tricky Stewart is noted for producing many hip hop, R&B and pop chart topping singles, such as Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", Britney Spears's "Me Against the Music", Mýa's "Case of the Ex", Rihanna's "Umbrella", Mary J. Blige's "Just Fine", Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" and "Obsessed", Jesse McCartney's "Leavin'", Justin Bieber's "Baby", Ciara's "Ride", Nicole Scherzinger's "Your Love" and many others.
I'M SO EXCITED :cheer2:

I'm expecting some R&B smashes

Mystic Mock 25-02-2015 06:49 PM

She'll be in her comfort zone now hopefully, put her in a studio and just hide that vocal as much as possible.

Seriously though that's a good team behind her, surely that will mean that she'll release decent Music surely?

Cal. 25-02-2015 06:51 PM

Perched for Umbrella/Single Ladies bops

I don't know why you have this myth in your head that her vocals are weak  Her vocals have improved even more since the show finished, here are all her performances from the tour, demonstrating how her vocal range has improved (the big note in Bang Bang and If I Aint Got You show how much her vocals have improved IMO):

Spoiler:

Intro VT + Can't Hold Us

All About That Bass

Bang Bang

Group Performance: Shake It Off

Thriller

If I Ain't Got You

Uptown Funk

Mystic Mock 25-02-2015 10:32 PM

I'm judging her from the live shows, and her vocals was bad, and imo I think people are clearly lying if they state otherwise.

Her vocals can improve on the tour all she likes and fair play to her on that, but on the show she shouldn't have finished 2nd when she couldn't even hold a note, that's worse than even Nicholas could achieve the year before.

Lmao someone sounds bitter that Lauren didn't win :joker:

It's all about post-show success anyway, and I'm sure she'll have lots of that, whether she has a good voice or not (which she does so bye @ you)

Well what would you say is Fleur's best Tour performance? Because I'll give it a shot and see if she really has improved.

And tbh it wasn't just Fleur that horrified me in that last series for getting so many votes but Ben also as he couldn't sing very well, and posed in every performance it was becoming seriously annoying to me.

And don't forget the bores Sam Bailey and Nicholas McDonald the series before.:umm2:

As a Fleur fan myself I can admit her voice wasn't that good. It was OK, but a bit too much like your local pub singer. Although she is a great dancer, confident and has a star quality about her, she is the full package and out of this world vocals aren't necessary in the area of music Fleur's entering.

Realistically she was the only act out of 2014's XF that has a chance of making it big in the music industry. Anyone else that tries will fall flat, I cannot see Ben getting anywhere either despite winning.

Vanessa 26-02-2015 09:14 AM

I think people can always surprise you. On this show the ones you don't expect to succeed end up doing the best out of everyone. Like One Direction. No one was expecting them to go global, but they did. And Union J. They didn't even make the final, but they're successful.

Fleur East is working on an "uptempo" album with Wayne Hector.

The X Factor runner-up spoke to Digital Spy about working with the songwriter on her "urban-inspired" debut record.

"I've already started writing and recording so I've been in with Wayne Hector, I've been in with Jack Splash and then straight after the X Factor tour I'm going to be recording with TMS and Invisible Men," said East.

"I want it to be urban-inspired but I want to salute the old school as well so I want it to be really uptempo, uplifting."

Hector has worked with artists including One Direction, Britney Spears, Girls Aloud and Paloma Faith.

The singer also said she has spoken to Mark Ronson, who admitted he owed her a drink for her role in catalysing the success of 'Uptown Funk'.

East is expected to release her album later this year through Simon Cowell's label Syco.

Fleur needs to do intense styled performances, that's the best type of performance.

:hehe: It kinda sounds rude LukeB.

But seriously she owes him for not allowing her to come dead last in that vote that week as the songs popularity saved her, and tbf the competition from getting dull as it would've left just Ben then who hadn't touched the bottom two.

andybigbro 28-02-2015 10:33 PM

Looking forward to see what she produces
