For me, the worse thing Ken said was when he called Alexander a 'good lad' before Alex calmly took him down a peg or two. What would Alex have done to have not been a 'good lad'? Ken showed us how he thinks in that episode and no one can deny his clear prejudices. |

This is so funny...Ken saying a few words and some getting on their high horse and big racist card...lol...it seems anything you say today has racist conitations...come on my family are Irish and we love the Irish banter...were in 2015....what was in the past stays in the past

Ken wasn't nasty and Alex wasn't upset, it is however food and fodder for forums and I guess perceptions will differ depending on peoples ideals, morals and agenda. |

i dont understand wen white ppl say ive been a victim of racism. Its tragic. There is no comparison. Blk ppl do not throw the race card willing unless valid to do so. Why on earth wld u want to make reference to a time dat was so barbaric in the actions of others to a race. U wldnt understand clearly because of lack of information. And yes u are totally correct on one thing it is based on ones perception and morals. #ignorance |

you know that long thing, usually black, with lots of buttons on it? One of them is the OFF switch, it should have OFF written on it but if not it will have a universal symbol for OFF Now if you dont mind, while the rest of us enjoy the show, .... OFF |

He is not decrepid or suffering from Alzheimers or any form of Dementia, therefore he is well aware (unless he's been living in a mountain cave for the last 50 years) that this kind of language is not acceptable and never has been in our lifetime, no matter how many people used it in the 60's & 70's We are no longer ignorant enough to think that terms used by Slave Masters are an acceptable way to reference a black person, and neither is Ken. He seems to be on a crusade against political correctness, something I hate, but using slave terms against a black housemate, is not politically INcorrect, its ignorant and intentionally nasty Do I think he should have been thrown out for saying it, part of me does, but I also loved the way Alexander handled it, he brought him down to the size of the man he really is, that was good TV! |

..if age were to be used as a reason and excuse for what he said then Alexander is of a similar age so he would have just accepted that coming from Ken, it was ok but he didn't because he knew it was wrongs so he rightly told him so...how is it that older black people know when something is offensive and wrong but some older white people don't....
|
..I mean I've never heard an older black person say..well, I'll refer to myself as a negro because that's what I was called as a child...
