Sorry I'm clutching at straws. I'll just call Perez a king and laugh at his inane jokes from now on shall I. :idc: |
She's used it herself as do some other Cubans. Hell...Michelle and Patsy used it too, but I imagine that was due to lack of education as to how it could be considered offensive and copying Cami.
Try again x |

I find it hard to believe you haven't heard anybody else say it besides Perez tonight. It was used like five or six times in yesterday's episode by Cami-Li and Patsy so I just think you choose to hear what you want... |

maybe it is the Perez show. No one pays attention what anyone else says (well, maybe KH just cause shes so loud) |
Well someone has just had to apologise in the media for saying coloured instead of black. Didnt listen to it all but it sounded quite serious. I guess now though anything goes in the BB house, they came down to heavy in the beginning with Ken and Jeremy so they have gone all the other way now because it is Perez who has taken the fun out of the house and who has manipulated the powers that be.

Chola can be used to describe a style as well.
Teens dress in the Chola style, young Gang girls call themselves Chola, the same as the boys. Sometimes pays to use the proper dictionary now and then rather than depend on wiki. Very fashionable nowadays. The word and the fashion that is. |

Chola
It's true that in most of Latin America Chola can be used pejoratively but in Los Angeles a chola is also known as a "homegirl" and there is a homegirl culture and the term is not derogatory. Fergie and. Gwen Steffani have used chola culture in their videos. Cholas are often tough girls that "don't take no **** from nobody", so it would make sense Cami would call herself a Chola as would Perez.
