This is true. i appreciate the point you are making "the truth" but Livia was not being ignorant to me, she's right we have a long history of debate and I was not offended by that. let's stick to the thread topic, which is about the role of the US IN THE WORLD.
You do make a good point about the double standard for Americans in Europe though. There is definitely a stereotype that Americans are less intelligent by nature. The fact that Americans are responsible for most of the important advances in technology, and medicine, and science in the last 80 years proves it's not true, but still, it is an ugly stereotype, and a hurtful one.
