exactly. the majority should never be allowed to decide what civil rights the minority should have. its not a fair fight.

Well there has to be a start point doesn't there. The reason that laws needed to be introduced was that people were being discriminated against and laws were needed to ensure that no longer happened. There would only have been no need for the law if people hadn't been discriminated against in the first place, and with people being who they are,that was never going to happen. So the majority rule is a much needed necessity.
