Anyone who has read many of my posts knows that I am far from being "a feminist" but I see this more or less every day. Burly dirty faced red nosed big chavs trying to make themselves feel big by intimidating people. With women they add the pervy aspect but they'll do it to pretty much anyone. They don't get very far with it at my place of work, mind. This isn't all manual labourers by the way but it's enough for it to be frequent. |
We do not know why the girl did not just walk another route or we do not know anything from the builders perspective
all we have is her slightly hysterical account |

It is very disrespectful and is comparable to calling out at someone of a different race or religion." 'He was probably 18 or 19 and got right in my face, standing next to an older man. He didn't touch me but they were in my personal space in the pavement, in my way, even though I literally blanked him. It is incredibly intimidating. I'm quite a nervous person and this has made my anxiety worse. 'The whistling went on for a month. I eventually contacted the building company and the police on the same day when it got so bad. I even considered changing my route to work but thought, 'Why should I do that?' |
lets hope she loses this pathetic case and has to pay the court fees for such a trivial waste of time..the resources to tackle real sexual attacks is finite and is already over stretched..the rescources to tackle all crime are stretched to breaking point, so many serious criminals get away with theft and murder.its women like her who make it harder for the real victims
|
Oh here it is.

how many disabled people have to put up with endless ignorant comments every minute of every day? imagine every one of them rang the police and went to court each time? this petty drivel from this woman seems to be an issue with petty feminists, no wonder some people don't want to employ women when they waste police time over such nonsense...another option by the way IF it is that bad, FILM IT on your phone camera....

And I'm sure there are many disabled people and other types of people who take people to court over such harassment. But, I suppose her being.... A WOMAN () makes her case not worthy. |

What a stupid girl she must be, she honestly expected grown men to control themselves and not intimidate her on a regular basis? Silly girl, if she doesn't want attention from men she should change her route regularly and dress like a nun. She shouldn't expect men to be able to show a modicum of control or respect towards her because she has tits and we all know that men aren't responsible for their own actions when it comes to a pair of boobs. It's her own fault for having them tbh.

or you just go a different way and use your brain

You know it would have been nice to hear the_truthette's opinion on this but she just had to be silenced.:cloud:
It's always annoyed me as a lad though to hear other lads say something like 'oh she would get it' or 'I'd give her a right go' when girls are walking by. In my head I'm always thinking 'yeh like she'd let you ya fat self entitled ****'. Kind of reminds of this, it's like this sexual sense of entitlement some lads seem to get and I stress some cos a lot of lads aren't like that and it gives us a bad name especially those with trade backgrounds. |
