Perhaps. But I still think physical appearance plays a part for that initial "bond" anyway. You wouldn't go up to someone you thought looked dodgy and be like oh hey let's be friends. So why can't I person assess a situation and look to see who they are most likely to get on with based on looks. That's all they have at the initial stage.

There's a difference between thinking someone looks dodgy and thinking someone is attractive. I know in my own experience I've never thought Oh that girl is too attractive/unattractive for me to be friends with :laugh:
