If they do something it needs to be good and not appear too desperate. If they plan on giving people the boot it needs to be structured so the useless characters go out. If good ones go that the public love then they will have screwed themselves over yet again, some viewers still have a sour taste in their mouths over the Helen thing last year.

Put them all up as punishment for talking about nominations. Vote to save.

They should do a late night feed like BB14

Yes, 11 to 1 would be great.

I do think it's interesting that perhaps the climb from 850k on Monday to 1m on Tuesday could be due to BB being promoted all day yesterday on Comedy Central? If it did have something to do with it, then maybe they should promo it everywhere now.

Also, BB last night was up against Geordie Shore's last episode and I really thought it would be lower than Monday's rating. So in theory, tonight should be higher than 1.00m with the apparent twist (not like people really care) and the shopping task.

I'd imagine we'd see a slight climb this week with it being half term but don't show me the ratings for this Friday- they'll be awful (up against corrie and BGT)

Jamesy 27-05-2015 11:14 AM

If it's not too late could they not get an advert shown on ITV during one of these BGT episodes? That's a massive opportunity they have every year and they never use it.

Pete. 27-05-2015 11:14 AM

They also need to put the main show on at 9pm to attract more viewers

Miss those days. Even just 2 hours a night made the series far more enjoyable and exciting to watch.

Plus BB14 got the highest civilian series average (ratings)!

Share would be squeezed to less than 5%, not sure if that's the best idea especially this week

Should have advertised from Launch on ITV

Yeah that's another big problem. 10pm is too late.

Although the 9pm slot won't do well till BGT ends Sunday.

I agree with the whole BB14 feed thing, that worked incredibly well. This is what I wrote on DS when someone said to me that they don't think LF will make any difference:

I think it would make a bit of difference. Notice that in the 30 mins of LF on a Friday, how busy the forum becomes, with 40+ new threads being made in the space of 15 mins to discuss solely what's going on in the house.

BB14 for example, there was a lot of buzz when the live feed was on. On Live Feed, we got to see the hours before Daley's incident with Hazel with him kind of intimidating her on the feed in the Safe House, and people on the forums were going mad over it (as was Twitter).

See how the forum is now, it's relatively busy for something we see 45 mins of... imagine how busy the forums would be if we had 24 hours of material to discuss rather than 45 mins? With social media, full live feed is even better. I remember back in the day when 100+ threads saying "OMG it's kicking off..." with hundreds of posts in them, with Twitter, those kind of moments are brilliant promo for the show.

In fact, during the late night feed in BB14, every night a HM was trending worldwide on Twitter.

Just for your info, the aftermath of Daley's ejection/Hazel returning to the house getting a 1.77m overnight (2.1m official), still remains the highest rated HL show of a regular BB on Ch5.

Also, BBEXTRA actually uploaded a video of the incident which got 1m views and the clip on YouTube got 600,000 views.

They need to put back vote to save. This is the reason CBB does so well. We can save our favourites and the dullards usually go first.

They should have launched in June anyways

What worries me with that is that last year Pav was saved over Biannca

RichardG 27-05-2015 11:18 AM

Unfortunately anything they do now might be too little too late. It's a shame but they only have themselves to blame. They've literally completely ignored everything the fans want over the past few years, even having segments on BOTS laughing at the viewers wanting live feed, quite bizarre. But who's laughing now?

I really hope things work out, I still love the concept of the show and know it has the potential to be amazing with the right production and housemates. However I still feel like they'll be too stubborn to give is what we want, they'll be doing their own thing right till the end no doubt!

CBB has much wider appeal though

Ben frow tries his best but it's channel 5 that don't want lf tbh he was pestered to push for live feed a couple of seasons ago and when he eventually got it for a few hours per evening he asked that the viewers don't let him down then iirc the ratings for it weren't that great.

Now admittedly the Times weren't great I think it was 7 til 9pm?

We need a full 24 hour live feed, possibly online with a late night feed on channel 5 during the night imo.

And drastic changes could mean the show being cancelled, I personally wouldn't call a mass eviction drastic and I don't think it would do much for ratings tbh

Fantastic post and all great points.

It's such a shame there are people somewhere preventing live feed though.

BB14 proved that live feed helps. It was foolish of them to remove it a year later.

But usually vote to save works very well. Vote to evicts always ends up with the best housemates leaving.

Things like this was caught on BB14 late night, couple of hours before the incident... THIS is what made BB14 so great.

They focus on showmances to much, leaving all the fun bits out. No wonder viewers are switching off.
