I have had it for a few days now and it seems to be running fine. My kid has it on his desktop computer, and he loves it. Had no driver issues either, which is handy. :)

Downloaded mine on Thursday, love it

Yet to upgrade myself, but this will probably be useful for some regarding opting out of the 'spying'.- http://bgr.com/2015/07/31/windows-10...ow-to-opt-out/

I still haven't got mine :umm2:

It looks ****, does it have features that windows 8 does not have and ones that I need. My work laptop is touchscreen and windows ten looks more difficult to touch..
|

Windows 10 is amazing, a great upgrade. I don't get the hate for it.

I'm still waiting for my update. :nono:

My update's ready but I still haven't downloaded it, I'm wary about it going wrong and then wishing I just left it as it was.
|
I hate it, it's so slow and buggy. My volume keeps dying and I have to troubleshoot to get it back + when I turn the laptop on from sleep it jusy stays on a black screen. Just for the old start menu returning it wasn't worth the upgrade.

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna leave it. |
its been all good for me

Why would anyone voluntarily be a free beta tester for Microsoft? Think I'll be sensible and leave it for 6 to 9 months and let you guys iron out the bugs :joker:.
Although I do have a windows 8 laptop kicking around somewhere, I could test it on that I suppose... Just to be nosy... |
Another issue, turning up screen brightness makes it darker and vice versa :bored:

it's trash
there's also this despite me clearly being connected to wifi http://i.imgur.com/eOtmRkM.png |
Telling you, you'll get bugs all over the place for at least 6 months to a year. Also, it auto-updates and you can't stop it, and every time it does you might get brand new security loopholes and more bugs. You're volunteering to beta-test the software... for free...
There's nothing functionally wrong with Windows 8.1 if you get Start8 (windows 7 style start menu for windows 8.1), boot directly to desktop and forget the tablet-style mess running in the background exists. It really only needs a bit of tweaking. My only concern is that DX12 is going to be Windows 10 exclusive, that might eventually force me to "upgrade". |
