For the hundredth time. It is mainly women who vote. How on earth can it be sexist when it is women against women.

I have asked this all day. But have failed to get a reply. Maybe, you will be the one.

Regardless of the gender breakdown of who votes, female HMs still have a much harder time than men do. And yes, it is absolutely possible for women to carry out sexist beliefs.

It's also not lost on me that aside from the obvious exceptions of Nadia and Helen, all of the other women winners acted and carried themselves in a very similar manner.

the boys can toddle off for themselves - they don't have one redeeming feature between the lot of them - well, okay maybe Jack isn't too bad, but the other three are embarrassing.

This is a joke, you cannot be serious 😳Chloe Harry or Sam should be shown the door,in that order.

No they didnt??

Kate Lawler - geyser bird bit a ladette
Rachel Rice - like bloody mother teresa
Sophie Reade - dolly bird dumb blond
Josie Gibson - country girl

They are just as different as the male winners...

It stands to reason men win more as younger girls make up majority of the voting public each year and its just human nature to see the same sex as competition.

Sure they all have different backgrounds and character traits, but how they act and conduct themselves and their general trajectory to win is very similar. They're all middle of the road, nicey nice, dare I say even a bit generic and bland? They didn't really do all that much (which is perfectly fine. I love Rachel and like Josie and Sophie enough) and had safe paths to victory. They're all the type of girls who you'd like to have a drink with or have as your next door neighbor, and for a while it seemed like that was pretty much the only way you could conceivably win as a woman, and this still might be the case?

You could argue the same for the male winners. Generally speaking most of the male winners are a bit vulnerable and 'cute' in some way

Craig
Brian D
Cameron
Anthony
Pete
Brian B
Aaron
Luke
Sam

None are what youd call alpha males indeed they are all slight outsiders in some way except maybe Anthony but I think his win was purely down to his having to put up with craig lol

TBH the more I look back over the two lists while there are more male winners they are generally weaker personalities. Id back the women winners in a fight against most of those saps tbh

Those people have all had different paths to their victories (if you can even call Sam's a path), but it's also worth pointing out that they've all been allowed some missteps that I highly doubt a woman could get away with. Craig's flirtmance with Claire (who had a boyfriend of nine years), Brian's attitude and treatment of Josh, Pete implying that if he doesn't win BB then God doesn't exist, literally anything Aaron did, etc. A woman doing anything remotely similar would (and has!) result in her getting swiftly evicted and booed to heck and there'd be OFF OFF OFF chants and all that ****.

Your massively overplaying those events tbf

The only remotely controversial male winner there was Aaron

The rest were just lovable goons tbh, and the women who won got away with much worse in some cases. Rachel is the only one who was more or less faultless throughout rest were in equal parts, moody, bitchy, lairy, sometimes a bit slutty... your grasping or viewing it through tinted specs imo

The men are infinitely more insipid and generic than the women imho who are all quite different from each other, where as craig/cameron/sam/luke where all more or less identical just 'nice blokes' and the others were all vulnerable weirdos

Well that's my whole point. Those events weren't a big deal because of who they involved. A woman doing any of those things would've been a death sentence. Pete's declaration that God doesn't exist if he doesn't win BB really is disgusting, but the public didn't seem to think so. If it was Aisleyne who expressed that belief? We all know how that'd end.

Oh...when did Danny..Joel...Nick....Jack and Christian leave ? Really its about time the people who monitor this site did something about the gang of men haters on here ....with their extreme sexism. ...

And while you're dealing with these nasty individuals you can talk to them about accusing people of sexism if they dislike a female house mate ...am I a sexist because I don't like Chloe ...no, I'm just intelligent ...next thing these cyber bullys will be calling me racist because I think Sam is fake and calling me homophobic because I think Simon was an appalling human being ....

Vanessa 10-07-2015 11:49 AM

No Harry, Sam or Chloe winning. No way! :nono:

REDCROP 10-07-2015 11:50 AM

These men haters on here are contaminating what should be a fun and balanced debate ....

Raph 10-07-2015 11:56 AM

Chloe or Sam agreed. Harry im not sure about, I feel like being handed a large sum of money like that may not be what's best for her right now. Although acceptance from the public i'm sure would secretly mean a lot to her.

I'd be fine with Jack winning too, he's been consistent. Joel and Nick would be meh winners.

Cristian would be a bad winner and Danny would be the worst winner in the history of Big Brother. As long as he doesn't win, I cant complain.

It's also to do with how casting choose women to begin with. Not just how the public perceives them. Gender inequalities in BB can be identified from several different aspects of the show.
