It's funny the memories this has conjured up.

I remember English essays always seemed to be due in the first lesson on a Thursday morning. I remember sitting watching Lost whilst trying to scramble together an essay for The Crucible on a Wednesday night. :flutter: Ahhh, youth.

Yeah, but the controlled assessments you have a set amount of time for and have to sit down in exam conditions and work on in class.

Whereas before they were more like mini projects that you could work on at home, and also have it marked and then improve it a little.

Not, they're basically mini exams.

Makes sense.

Coursework sounds better. I work better at home anyway.

IKR. I'm surprised I remember all of this, as it was almost a decade ago.

Weird how it's changed so much.

Yeah, there is a huge difference. I'd say A-levels in some cases are even harder than degrees.

There are certain things you can slack on in school and just wing it and come out fine but if you try that at A-levels you won't get away with it. Your grades will suffer.

I absolutely detested A Levels and everything about college. I enjoyed school and uni but college was so dull and A Levels just painful.

Luckily I got what I needed to go do my degree and then education was interesting again.

Honestly, this last year or two is the first time I've felt like I'm getting old. :omgno:

Like it's 10 years since I first saw Lost during the break between Craig's eviction on Big Brother 6.

That's how I felt. Those two years at college I was just slogging through.

Me and Lostie were talking about that last week on the 10th anniversary of Lost debuting on C4. 10th August 2005, I believe it was. I miss those days.

I was looking at my GCSE Results Sheet yesterday and I got my results on 24th August 2006. It's weird thinking BB7 had ended a week earlier. I still remember that day perfectly well.

 I want to go back in time.

Same. Life was good then. You didn't have to worry about anything, either.

Doesn't help when you think that those people getting their results now were in like Year 2, when we got ours.
