..I just looked at the most recent one and out of a posting total of just over 1500, only 11 posts are mine so I think that probably tells you Daniel that I don't post much in the main chat thread anymore Daniel...and I would say that most of my posts over the recent ones..(because they do change very frequently..)..are first thing in the morning when I'm usually 'talking to myself'.....

When I first started posting in the lounge, I did feel a little bit unwelcome, i got ignored a lot and felt like some people were a bit blunt with me (not everyone though, i remember Scott being really welcoming!!) i think it was because i was a newbie?? idk. but somehow that all changed (idk when or why lmao -- i think it was because i got involved more in convos and ended up chatting to Lostie and Luke a lot about TV shows) and i haven't noticed any cliques

At least you can admit it

Crimson Dynamo 17-09-2015 02:34 PM

now we have the lounge on the go and the tea room?

carnage

Firewire 17-09-2015 02:36 PM

It's cliquey because it's friendly. It's like sitting with other people at lunch in school. They all have had conversations that you haven't. It's not a bad thing, but always happens when there's a group of people who are friendly to one another. I'm not calling it a clique but I can see why people see that. It's more welcoming now, I think, but ironically, I feel less welcome.

By more welcoming I mean that the current posters don't tell others to post in other threads. I know that used to happen years ago when it was like The Igloo etc.

Who on earth brought back the lounge when we already have the tea room :fist:

yah but isn't a clique like a group of people who are in a friendship group and stuff? it isn't the case with most people in there now :worry: but yeah I see what you mean because most of the people you talked to don't post in there as much now

Well, The Tea Room is in the Private Section so not every member can see or post in it. But in answer to your question........ whichever one you desire, in a world full of tough dilemmas this isn't a big one really, is it?

armand.kay 17-09-2015 03:43 PM

Tbh I think it's a lot less clique on here loads of people have put aside there difrences and I've had convos with people I didn't think I liked etc

There is actually three chat threads, the lounge isn't in the private area, the other two are.

It gives people a choice of where they want to post, if there a conversation going on in one that you aren't interested in you could go to the others

example, me and you aren't close at all but we still have a conversation about stuff. Cliques are groups of people that are close and in this friendship which was the case when i first started posting in there because all of them seemed like a friendship and really close.

..how can you be wrong when it's how you feel though, you can't be wrong for feeling something...'cliques' are groups of friends yes, but they're ones which exclude and make others feel unwelcome and that seems to be how many people feel, as you're both saying...I hardly post in the main chat thread anymore but I do think it is starting to become more welcoming..but the thing is that it should never feel or have felt anything else...

Black Dagger 17-09-2015 05:15 PM

I don't really post in the chat threads these days because I don't find the conversations interesting enough for me to join in so I just let them get on with their own thing. If I wanted to chat in there I would though.

Mama Ammi telling it how it is :worship:

Benjamin 17-09-2015 08:09 PM

The chat threads will always have an air of clique about them and always have. Not always in a bad way but you'll find people gravitate to it and then talk more to those people and then they kind of hibernate there to talk.
