If that was aimed at me, just say so, so that I can report you.

I took it that he was talking about the mother of the kid in the article

Although the lad shouldn't even be smoking at that age, it shouldn't be a problem to go all day without a fag. I started at 16 and up until my twenties I could easily do without a fag. What a 'mother' though.

In relation to the cane talk a few pages back. Corporal Punishment was abolished in 1987. So more like 30 years rather than 20.

DemolitionRed 25-09-2015 02:27 PM

Cigarettes are for people 18 years and over. E-cigs/vape pens are for people 18 years and over. Alcohol is for people 18 years and over. There has to be zero tolerance for any of these things used within a school environment.

Says the man who's as predictable as rain on a bank holiday Monday!

Johnnyuk123 25-09-2015 08:28 PM

What next? Allow them to have sex during playtime? It's all getting ridiculous!

Johnnyuk123 25-09-2015 08:35 PM

Schools should do this.
Ban mobile phones and other devices.
Ban smoking. Ban foul language.
Teach kids the meaning of the word respect and instill the notion that when in school your life is in the hands of the school with no parental interference at all and tell them that threatening to call child line in class to whinge about teachers will only get back to those said teachers and your child will get detention for a year for trying to play the system.
Also bring back the cane.

I agree that we cannot delegate responsibility for children's care to schools for 8 hours per day, without also sanctioning authority to them. For that 8 hours or so teachers are 'Parents By Proxy.

Yeeeaah... So... Does me breaking a cane across someone's throat if they use one to hit my daughter count as "parental interference"?

Yes, but only stunningly beautiful nymphomaniac ones who are butt naked and have £20 million in the bank which they will sign over to you once they have shagged your brains out in more positions and ways than The Karma Sutra.

If we are going to dream and fantasise Arista - let's go the whole 9 yards.:laugh::laugh:

All I can see is him jumping in the school corridor all jolly singing "look at me! I'm in the papers! look at me posing with my e-cig!".
No wonder he smokes at 14.
Pathetic.
